Rigged Maze Sanctum walkthrough: chest and Binding Oath route

This route begins with A talking Hummin? already active, returns three overworld Vine Cores to Ron, then follows Find Selens. Detour through the adjacent Rigged Maze on the way. Its solo interior runs straight past one optional chest to the Terminus, with no trial Aniimo, switch or branching maze puzzle inside.

Binding Oath: Ron and the three Vine Cores

Twine with Celestis, Fly into the root-covered ruin and approach the Strange Hummin. The encounter starts a scene that reveals Ron and his Hummin, then adds three branches: a Vine Core in the eastern ruins, western swamp and northern cave. No manual Untwine or extra Hummin interaction is needed. Take the three cores in any order; east, west, then north keeps the travel short.

After the third core, follow Give Vine Core to Ron and complete the hand-in. The tracker then changes to Find Selens. Detour through the adjacent Rigged Maze portal before you go to Selens. If the northern cave is still blocked, use a Fire-capable Aniimo on the red thorn barrier and wait for it to burn away. Omega Tuckin appears after Binding Oath.

Complete route from Ron through Rigged Maze to Selens

  1. Start with “A talking Hummin?” active and reach Ron

    With Binding Oath tracked, Twine with Celestis, Fly into the root-covered ruin and approach the Strange Hummin. The encounter starts the Ron scene. No manual Untwine or extra Hummin interaction is needed.

  2. Take the eastern-ruins Vine Core

    Follow the eastern objective branch into the stone ruins and interact with the glowing Vine Core. Confirm that branch clears from the tracker.

  3. Take the western-swamp Vine Core

    Follow the western branch through the swamp and interact with its glowing Vine Core. The three cores work in any order.

  4. Burn into the northern cave and take its core

    Use Fire on the red thorn barrier, continue into the cave and interact with the third Vine Core. When the tracker changes to Give Vine Core to Ron, return to him.

  5. Return the three Vine Cores to Ron

    Follow the tracked route back to Ron, use the displayed interaction and complete the hand-in sequence. The next objective is Find Selens. Detour through the adjacent Rigged Maze portal first.

  6. Enter Rigged Maze and follow the center lane

    At the portal, verify one challenger and 0/1 chests. Start the challenge, descend the opening stairs and continue straight across the central floor. The interior has no trial Aniimo, statue, switch or branching maze puzzle.

  7. Open the center chest and confirm 1/1

    Finish this before the pass
    Interact with the single chest on the central route before climbing the far stairs. Wait for the objective counter to change from 0/1 to 1/1; contents vary, so the counter is the check.
  8. The room closes behind you here

    Touch the Terminus and restore the Vein

    Continue up the far stairs and interact with the purple square Sanctum Terminus, also called a Tesseract in game localization. This finishes the Sanctum; Find Selens remains active afterward.

  9. Reach Selens to finish Binding Oath

    Leave the Sanctum and follow Find Selens. The route transports to Bloom: Mistwoods, where Selens completes Binding Oath. The Rigged Maze clear is not a tracked quest objective.

The interior is a straight one-chest room

The interior is one straight lane: Descend the central lane, open the chest, cross the same chamber and climb the far stairs. There is no trial statue, Vine Core, floor switch or special ability inside.

Troubleshooting

A Vine Core marker is missing: Open the quest Log, retrack Binding Oath and compare the remaining eastern-ruins, western-swamp and northern-cave objectives.
The northern cave is blocked: Use Fire on the red thorn barrier and wait for the burn state to finish. This is an overworld Binding Oath obstruction, not an interior Rigged Maze mechanism.
Your chest counter is still 0/1: Turn back from the far stairs and open the chest in the center of the room. Do this before you Touch the Terminus, not after.
