Sparkling Aniimo: appearance, catching and collection value

Sparkling is an appearance and collection status, not a form, Potential grade or evolution. It can coexist with an eligible Basic, regional, weather or other exact form and with any separately rolled Potential. This guide shows how to identify it, which items and eggs grant or guarantee it, the routes connected to Sparkling hunts, and how to judge the result for collection and combat.

How Sparkling fits your Aniimo

The English client calls it Sparkling; the official Traditional Chinese localization uses 閃耀. The trait is carried beside the creature’s exact identity. A Sparkling Sigil explicitly grants the Sparkling trait to an Aniimo, while the official Bonded Promise rules discuss Sparkling and Prismana separately. That is strong evidence that the two labels are independent.

Build strength comes from the full profile: Sparkling marks appearance and collection rarity. Use the Aniimo evaluator to score the exact form, role, Potential, personality, skills and investment, then treat Sparkling as an additional collection trait.
Sparkling and Umbral are different labels: Sparkling is an appearance status. An Umbral Aniimo is a different rarity again: it carries Perfect Potential and a dark recolour, appears in the open world and in Egg Heist, and loses the form on evolution. See the Umbral Aniimo guide for every acquisition route, and the rare variants glossary to tell all eight labels apart.
02

Catch, trait and egg effects

Sparkling appears in three item scopes. A catch device changes the acquisition of a wild Aniimo, a Trait Mark changes a copy you own, and an egg defines its own hatch result. Match the item to the action you are taking.

Catch and hatch device

  • Sparkling Cube

Guarantees a successful Sparkling catch with Perfect Potential, and sets the Sparkling Style on a hatch.

Use it forUse it on a targeted wild catch when you want both Sparkling and Perfect Potential, or on a hatch when the style is what you are after.

Owned Aniimo trait item

  • Sparkling Sigil

Holds the energy needed to grant the Sparkling trait.

Use it forApply it to an Aniimo you already own when you want to add the Sparkling trait.

Hatch result

  • Departure Sparkling Egg

Explicitly guarantees an Aniimo with the Sparkling trait.

Use it forHatch it when a guaranteed Sparkling result is the goal.

  • Wonder Egg

Hatches an Aniimo with at least the Alpha or Sparkling trait.

Use it forUse it for an Alpha-or-Sparkling hatch from its named outcome pool.

Named Egg catalogue entry

  • Sparkling Egg

Hatches Stellarys according to the catalogue entry.

Use it forUse it for that named Stellarys outcome.

Sparkling items and what each one does

Use the Egg and Incubation Almanac to search from an egg to its Aniimo or from an Aniimo back to its eggs. The egg guide covers the full Hatchinator flow.

Sparkling style odds

Sparkling comes in 12 styles. Ten of them are ordinary, named Sparkling Type I through Sparkling Type X, and the client marks only two as rare: Dazzling Sparkling and Shadow Sparkling. Your Aniilog collapses the ten common types into one Sparkling entry, which is why every eligible form shows four collection slots, Normal plus Sparkling, Dazzling Sparkling and Shadow Sparkling, and 210 forms hold the full set. Pawprint publishes how the common bucket and the two rare styles split, so once your Cube, Sigil or Pigment lands you know exactly what you are rolling for.

Sparkling Cube and Sigil style probabilities
ActionCommon SparklingDazzling SparklingShadow Sparkling
Catch an Aniimo out in the world with a Sparkling Cube99%1%0%
Hatch an egg that did not come from Operation: Egg Heist with a Sparkling Cube99%1%0%
Hatch an egg obtained from Operation: Egg Heist with a Sparkling Cube99%0%1%
Use a Sparkling Sigil on an Aniimo99%0.50%0.50%
Read the table as a style split: Every row starts after the Cube or Sigil has been used. The 99% column is the chance your Sparkling copy takes the Common style, not the chance of turning up a Sparkling in the first place.
Egg Heist eggs trade Dazzling for Shadow: An egg you obtained from Operation: Egg Heist is the one route here that yields Shadow Sparkling from a Cube, and it buys that 1% by giving up the Dazzling chance completely. Use a Cube on an Egg Heist egg when Shadow is the style you want, and take a world catch or any other egg when you want Dazzling.

A Sparkling Sigil gives 0.50% Dazzling and 0.50% Shadow. Sparkling Pigment works differently: it rerolls a Sparkling Prismana Aniimo you already own and excludes its current style. Check the starting style before spending Pigment.

Sparkling Pigment rerolls by current style, rounded to two decimal places
Current styleCommon Sparkling outcomesDazzling SparklingShadow Sparkling
Common Type I to XCurrent type: 0%; each of the other 9 types: 10.99%0.55%0.55%
Dazzling SparklingEach of the 10 types: 9.95%0%0.50%
Shadow SparklingEach of the 10 types: 9.95%0.50%0%

The Pigment table gives per-style chances, not one combined Common chance. A Common starting style cannot repeat on that roll, but a different style you unlocked earlier can still return. Rerolling Dazzling or Shadow gives a combined 99.5% chance of a Common style and 0.50% of the other rare style, with no chance to keep the current rare style. The rounded Common-start entries total 100.01%; that extra 0.01% is rounding, not an additional outcome.

Upcoming Hue switching, announced September 30: Once the announced change goes live, a Sparkling Prismana Aniimo will let you freely switch among Hues previously unlocked for that Aniimo, including its original Prismana Hue. Pawprint’s Dev Dispatch gives no go-live date. The style odds above still describe each new roll, so keep them in mind before spending Sparkling Pigment.

The Item Exchange trades five Sparkling Sigils for one Sparkling Pigment, so each reroll costs five Sigils you could have spent making new Sparkling copies. The 17 September build also added Pigment to the Mysterious Vendor’s stock pool at 5,000,000 Credits with a rotation weight of zero. Budget in Sigils and buy the vendor copy only if you see it on the shelf.

Forms and mode-specific eligibility

A Sparkling copy can also carry a Basic or alternate form when that combination is eligible. Sparkling sits beside that form as a separate appearance trait. Prismana is an exact form identity, while regional and weather forms are other exact identities. Read their elements, role and skill kit from the selected form in Aniilog.

Check eligibility by route: Bonded Promise accepted Sparkling and Alpha Aniimo while excluding Prismana Form Aniimo. Events, eggs and catches can each set their own eligibility, so choose the route that names the trait or form combination you want.

05

Field, radar, Nurture and event routes

Sparkling hunts connect four route families: field detection and catching, Branch or Nurture bonuses, egg outcome pools, and event rewards. Pick the route first, then bring the device, egg or team setup that belongs to it.

  • Field encounter / radar

Detection and field-catch references connect Sparkling to wild hunts.

HowScan the target area, follow radar or detection cues, and bring a Sparkling Cube for the catch.

  • Branch / Nurture

Descriptions connect these systems to improved rare-outcome chances.

HowReview the active Branch or Nurture bonus before starting the attempt loop.

  • Egg

Each egg carries its own hatch description and outcome pool.

  • Event

Sparkling items can appear in configured event rewards.

Sparkling route checklist
Turn the route into a repeatable hunt: Open the live route screen for its active bonus, use the map to build a search loop, and bring the catch device or egg that matches your target. Save the route, item and result after each run so the next attempt starts with the same setup.

This page is the reference for what Sparkling is and which item does what. For the hunt itself, the shiny hunting guide ranks every route by reliability, prices the Sparkling Cube in Crystals, names the badge that raises the encounter rate, and gives the daily and weekly loop to run.

Two clocks bound that loop. A Branch at gear level 9 posts a Sparkling Encounter egg every Monday at 04:00, and the daily reset that governs every other allowance lands at 04:00 too, at a different hour on each of the three services. Convert both with the reset timers tool. A running Who’s That Aniimo round can also be solved with a Sparkling copy, because the board checks the form rather than the appearance status.

06

Collection value versus combat value

  1. 1Record the exact identity

Write down species, evolution stage and exact form before the Sparkling label.

  2. 2Record the collection gain

A first Sparkling copy, a new form combination or an event-bound acquisition can matter even when the combat build is unchanged.

  3. 3Build around the combat profile

Compare role, elements, Potential distribution, personality, acquired skills and current investment.

  4. 4Lock the first copy

Keep a first Sparkling copy locked while you check its exact form, evolution use, Homeland work and transfer value.

Open the Aniimo evaluator with the creature still visible in-game. Then compare the copy against the Potential guide, the catching guide and its exact Aniilog form instead of treating “rare” as a one-number answer.

07

Frequently asked

Are Sparkling Aniimo automatically stronger?

Sparkling adds appearance and collection status. Combat strength comes from the exact form, role, Potential, personality, skills and investment.

Does a Sparkling Cube change an egg hatch?

Yes. The official probability table lists Sparkling Cube rows for hatching as well as catching. A Cube on an ordinary egg routes the rare 1% to Dazzling Sparkling, and on an egg obtained from Operation: Egg Heist it routes that 1% to Shadow Sparkling instead. The egg still decides which Aniimo hatches, so read its own entry for the outcome pool.

Is Sparkling the same as Prismana?

No. Sparkling is an appearance status; Prismana is an exact form. Bonded Promise rules name them separately, and the two axes can carry different eligibility rules.

What are the odds of each Sparkling style?

Catching in the world with a Sparkling Cube, or hatching an egg that did not come from Operation: Egg Heist, gives 99% Common Sparkling and 1% Dazzling Sparkling. An egg obtained from Operation: Egg Heist moves that 1% to Shadow Sparkling. A Sparkling Sigil gives 0.50% Dazzling and 0.50% Shadow. Pigment excludes the current style: a Common start gives 0.55% for each rare style, while a rare start gives 0.50% for the other rare style and 99.5% Common.

How do I start a Sparkling hunt?

Choose the route first: field detection, Branch or Nurture, an egg outcome pool, or an active event reward. Then open the matching map or almanac entry and bring the item that belongs to that route.
