Operation: Egg Heist, the Aniimo extraction mode

Egg Heist is Aniimo’s extraction mode. A single team of one to three Pathfinders lands on the Lost Isles, loots its way into the Lost Sanctum, and has 30 minutes to get an egg back to the Egg Boat. Faint once and you forfeit your backpack along with everything you had equipped. That one rule shapes everything else here: the mode runs its own gear, its own shop and talent trees, and a seasonal ladder that only moves when you evacuate alive.

How a run plays out

The mode unlocks when you reach level 50 and become Wayfarer III, and then splits into two queues. Egg Heist Team Mode sends a single team of one to three players into a co-op raid with Normal, Hard and Nightmare tunings, and the launch version adds a high-difficulty Chaos Mode to Operation: Egg Heist. Beside it sits the full six-team operation, gated behind a higher Egg Heist rank and covered at the end of this guide.

Everything you fight with inside the mode is bought inside the mode. Your Pathfinder is set to level 60, participating Aniimo attributes are balanced, and an Attack Amplifier, a Protective Unit and six chip slots take over from the build you spent the week on. The Egg Heist chips and gear guide carries the full catalogue, the prices and three loadouts.

Choose supports by their Core Skill: Slot 1 is your active Aniimo. Slots 2, 3 and 4 briefly cast their Core Skill, then return you to the active Aniimo. A Leafy support slot supplies Vitality Blooms, not Cyclone of Leaves and Lotus Bloom as well. Choose healing, EP recovery and a matching buff from the Core Skills you can actually call. The support-by-mode checklist explains the difference.
Umbral Stellarys Alpha respects control immunity: The September 30 update fixes a rare failure of its crowd-control immunity in Egg Heist. Keep a dodge and recovery plan; repeated stun or sleep is not a safe substitute for an escape route.
Defeat Erlath first: Erlath is a new enemy with group support abilities. Prioritize it when you encounter it, then deal with the rest of the group. The September 30 update added this enemy to Egg Heist.

Team Mode is cooperative. Every egg submitted during a match is shared by the whole team on a successful extraction, so nobody is racing a teammate for the prize. The island itself is the opposition: Umbrabow guardians, traps, and a clock that punishes greed.

  1. 1Land at the Ancient Harbor

Your team spawns on the beach beside its Egg Boat with 30 minutes on the clock. The beach mobs and chests are safe money before the real run starts.

  2. 2Breach the Lost Sanctum

Two doors lead in. The main entrance starts you shallow, while the side entrance drops you straight into the depths, closer to the good rooms and the harder fights. The September 30 update fixes the outer-island bug that could leave a run without a Sanctum entrance.

  3. 3Dig an egg out of a nest

Egg nests sit in guarded rooms. Clear the guards, dig, and twine with the egg: you become the egg and trade your fighter’s kit for a slow roll toward the exit.

  4. 4Submit and evacuate

Roll the egg to the Egg Boat and submit it, then keep farming or trigger the safe evacuation. Only a safe evacuation banks the run.

Fainting forfeits everything: Faint once and you lose everything in your backpack along with what you had equipped, exactly as the in-game warning promises. On a solo run there is nobody left to revive you.

The Lost Islets map

The arena is one archipelago, filed in the game’s map data as The Lost Islets: five wooded islands ringed by shallows, ruins pressed into the high ground, and a coral shelf off the southern tip. The record covers 849 Aniimo spawn points across 58 forms and 441 chests, and the Lost Islets atlas plots that same set on its switchable Lost Islets map.

The Lost Islets as the game renders the arena. The atlas overlays 1,311 markers on this same image.

Both queues run this island, and only the pressure changes. Team Mode is cooperative, so nothing on the map is another player and the whole 30 minutes is spent against guardians, traps and the clock: the outside is a clean farm, the Lost Sanctum is where the damage lives. The six-team operation takes the same ground and adds five rival teams to it, and because one prize egg spawns for the whole arena, the Sanctum core and the run back to the Egg Boat are where teams meet.

The loadout that goes in with you

Egg Heist gear never leaves the mode, and every piece of it rides on the run: a backpack for loot, an Attack Amplifier for damage, a Protective Unit for defense, and chips socketed into both. All of it is forfeit on a faint, so a loadout is as much about what you can afford to lose as what makes you strong.

  3. Lightweight Backpack30,000 coins14 slots
  4. Adventure Backpack60,000 coins18 slots
  5. Heavy Duty Backpack200,000 coins22 slots
The five backpacks, by slot count

Die and the mode hands you a four-slot default bag, so keep a spare in storage. Weight matters as much as slots: overload the bag and you cannot move until you drop something, and chips and talents are what raise the ceiling.

The Uncommon Attack Amplifier and Protective Unit cost 10,000 Eggshell Coins each and take no chips at all. A Rare piece is 60,000 and opens one socket, an Epic piece is 120,000 and opens two or three, and the Legendary grade unlocks through Rank rather than price. Chips only fit their matching slot type, and energy stones refill a drained amplifier or unit at a cost in durability: Pulse for the amplifier, Harmonic for the unit.

The loadout screen: amplifier and Protective Unit up top with chip sockets under each, the Safe beside the backpack, and the weight budget across the header.
The Safe brings loot home from a wipe: Safe slots unlock through the Egg Boat Safe talent and their contents survive a failed run. Items inside cannot be used until you move them into the bag, so park a spare key there and pull it out at the locked door.
Your first three rounds on each difficulty are insured: Beginner Protection covers the first 3 rounds of every Team Mode difficulty. Fail an extraction inside that window and your BINI #9 unit, amplifier, chip, backpack and everything inside are fully retained. Full chip tables, durability costs and loadouts are in the Egg Heist chips and gear guide.

One fighter, three cooldowns

Your first team slot is the Aniimo you twine with and fight as for the whole run, so deck it out and level it. The other three never stay on the field: each pops out, casts its signature move, and returns on its own cooldown.

  • Glacy casts a single-target heal on a 20 second cooldown, and it works out of combat
  • Leafy drops a healing zone that covers the whole team
  • Dazmand buffs your damage for burst windows
  • Magmarex smashes cracked walls, lights fire pillars, and makes a tanky main

Elemental pillars in the Sanctum only respond to a matching element, so a spread of elements opens more of the map than a mono team. Egg Heist also keeps its own battle roster slot; check the deployed team before you queue, because the mode will happily take your overworld lineup instead.

04

Running it solo

Team Mode queues solo without filling, and Normal is built for it: no entry rank, far softer damage than Hard, and the same Prismana Shell Shards at the end. Learn the map alone before you bring a team, because teams rush and solo runs teach the routes.

The beach is free money. Its Aniimo drop loot, its chests and debris piles can hold epics and even legendaries, and nothing outside matches the Sanctum’s damage. A cautious first run can farm the shore, sell the haul, and bank coins without ever touching an egg.

  • Heal on cooldown, not at low health. A 20 second heal is short enough to stay topped up between fights.
  • Chests reveal their loot over a second or two, and guardians will attack you mid-search. Clear the room before you loot, and back out of the chest the moment you get jumped.
  • Smash boulders, cracked walls and cracked doors; chests and whole side rooms hide behind them. Some Sanctum hallways are closed by a breakable gate that gives way after three hits. Solid doors never break.
  • Preview drops on the ground before taking them. Epic and legendary salvage sells for thousands, while grey junk wastes slots and kilograms.
  • Essences beat loot. A tall blue or purple pillar of light marks one, and the talent tree eats every essence you can carry.
The traps out-damage the guardians: Floor spikes and wall jets hit for 500 to 1,000 a touch, and the jets shove you into the spikes. If a guardian grabs you, mash the interact key to break free before the follow-up lands, and keep your ultimate in reserve for escapes.

Twining an egg and getting out

Egg nests are the broad black mounds in guarded rooms. Check the room and clear the guards before you dig, because twining swaps your fighter for a slow rolling egg. Untwining is instant, so fight when cornered and twine again after.

Pin the exit door on the map before you pick the egg up; if the exact spot refuses a marker, pin beside it and the line still leads you home. Rolling, you can jump and dash, though the dash carries a long cooldown. Skirt the shoreline and the walls and let mobs lose interest instead of fighting through them.

The boat takes more than one egg, so submit, walk back in, and pull a second nest if the timer allows. Every run also tracks two optional objectives, one submitted egg or a personal haul of Eggshell Coins, and either one makes the evacuation count. A focused Normal run is in and out in about eight minutes.

Hit and run, and chasing a high score

Rank Points only come from a successful evacuation, and the score a run posts is graded against three thresholds that rise with your Rank. At Rookie Egg Hunter the bands sit at 15, 50 and 80. They move to 30, 80 and 120 at Rising Egg Scout, 30, 120 and 150 at Pro Egg Snatcher, and 30, 120 and 180 from Elite Egg Seeker upward. The top band stops at 180 and stays there, so every gear upgrade after Elite Egg Seeker makes the highest grade easier to hit.

Score thresholds by Rank
RankBand 1Band 2Band 3
Rookie Egg Hunter155080
Rising Egg Scout3080120
Pro Egg Snatcher30120150
Elite Egg Seeker and above30120180

A short run that banks one egg and leaves scores the same Rank Point as a thirty-minute clear, and it risks a whole loadout for four minutes instead of twenty-six. That is the hit and run. Dig the nearest nest, submit at the boat, and evacuate rather than going back in for a second.

  1. Queue the highest difficulty your gear actually survives. The score bands stop rising at Elite Egg Seeker, so every grade after that comes from the run itself.
  2. Take the side entrance. It drops you into the depths, which is where the nests are, and skips the shallow rooms entirely.
  3. Dig one nest, twine, and pin the exit before you pick the egg up. Rolling past guardians beats fighting them, and untwining is instant if you get cornered.
  4. Submit at the Egg Boat, then evacuate. The submitted egg is already banked and the second nest is what loses runs.
  5. Spend the Safe on the way in, not the way out. Five kilograms that survive a wipe are worth more than five you are carrying when you faint.
Quitting is scored separately from failing: The ladder tracks four outcomes: a successful extraction, a failed extraction, quitting a match, and quitting while in a team. Only the successful extraction pays Rank Points, and the two quit outcomes are counted apart from an honest failure, so ride a bad run to the timer instead of closing the client.

Normal, Hard, Nightmare and Chaos Mode

Each difficulty has its own entry rank, recommended loadout and reward preview, listed below. The launch version adds Chaos Mode as a new high-difficulty tier and more obtainable egg types to Operation: Egg Heist, and the mode screen now names that tier Chaos Challenge.

Stellarys’s Starine drops more often on Chaos difficulty after the September 30 update. If that is your target, weigh the Chaos Ticket cost against how consistently your team can finish a run before spending on repeat entries.

Step up when the gear says so, not the rank. Hard wants an Epic amplifier and unit with chips socketed. Nightmare wants the shop’s top gear or a strong premade, because one death costs the whole loadout. Chaos Challenge opens on 24 September at 04:00 (UTC+8) and asks for Elite Egg Seeker IV and an Epic loadout. Every Chaos Challenge entry costs one Chaos Ticket, and the Egg Heist Shop sells up to 20 a day from Elite Egg Seeker IV. The first ticket costs 20,000 Eggshell Coins and later purchases cost more, up to 400,000 a ticket. The Gilded Key is not an entry fee: it opens the locked Key Rooms inside the Sanctum. The rare eggs are chance drops rather than guarantees, and several Hard clears can pass without one.

What you are grinding for

The long game is the Mysterious Prismana Egg, which is guaranteed to hatch an Umbral Aniimo or an Aniimo in Prismana Form. Full price is 400,000 Eggshell Coins plus 200 Prismana Shell Shards. Two limited slots discount it: one at 80% off for 80,000 coins and 40 shards, and one at 50% off for 200,000 coins and 100 shards, each capped at a single purchase. Shards are carried out of runs, so every evacuation feeds the total.

Umbral eggs come out of the island itself. The mode drops both the Umbral Aniimo Egg and the Large Umbral Aniimo Egg, and each is guaranteed to hatch an Umbral Aniimo with Perfect Potential. Umbral Aniimo also spawn inside the mode at a rate the open world cannot match, which is why it sits in the Sparkling and Umbral hunting methods alongside field hunting.

A Ruins Aniimo Egg goes into the Hatchinator back home like any other egg. It can hand you a species you are missing, and the Incredible Ruins Aniimo Egg is the larger version the harder difficulties pay. Neither guarantees a rare form; most open into ordinary Aniimo.

Economy and the Egg Heist Shop

Egg Heist runs its own reward loop, separate from the rest of the game. Eggshell Coins from sold loot fuel the Egg Heist Shop, tickets pay for entry to the queues that need one, and part of the stock stays locked until your Egg Heist rank catches up.

Keys open the locked rooms inside the Sanctum, and every tier also drops on the island. Over the counter they run 10,000 for a Rusted Iron Key, 50,000 for a Silver-Plated Key and 100,000 for a Gilded Key. Key rooms hold extra chests drawn from the same loot pool as the rest of the dungeon.

A second Mysterious Vendor stands inside the mode and trades in Eggshell Coins across Black Market, Hot and Equip tabs. This is not the Astra vendor the Mysterious Vendor tracker follows, and the markup shows: the same three keys cost 20,000, 80,000 and 150,000 at that counter, and a Rare amplifier or unit runs 100,000 against 60,000 outside.

Lucky Chests accrue from successful evacuations and pay out coins, keys and gear. Your Rank decides both how many chest slots you own, from 1 at Rookie Egg Hunter to 4 at Egg Heist Master, and how many chests you can bank in a day, which climbs from 4 to 6. Claim them, because at the end of a season the slots are cleared and any unclaimed chest is converted into Eggshell Coins and mailed to you.

The mode also feeds two pages outside it: the drop tables list what each chest tier can hold, and the reset timers cover the 04:00 daily rollover that the chest allowance follows.

Egg Heist Master adds the Mystery Egg Box to the Egg Heist Shop. It opens into a random Aniimo Egg, with a chance of a rare Umbral Aniimo Egg or an extremely rare Prismana Aniimo Egg. The first box costs 500,000 Eggshell Coins, the price steps up to 800,000 and then 1,000,000 as the week’s purchases add up, and the shop sells 30 a week.

The talent tree

Between matches you spend the haul on Egg Heist talents, permanent perks that carry into every future run. There are 28, split into a Personal Growth tree and an Egg Boat Upgrade tree of 14 nodes each, with a third tree still locked. Unlocks cost Eggshell Coins plus essences: Blue early, Purple deeper, Gold near the bottom, and a Honeyglow Starine at the final tier. Scavenger II, for scale, costs 80,000 coins, one Purple Essence and two Blue Essences.

Two trees of 14 nodes each, with a third slot still locked. Every node costs Eggshell Coins plus essences, and the price climbs steeply toward the bottom of a tree.

Across rarities the shape is deliberate: the Common talents are small percentages, and the three Epic talents change how a run can end.

  3. Epic talents (3)

    • Half-Price Goods III

1 extra half-price item in the Egg Heist Shop

    • Self-Revival

Self-revive while downed if a teammate is alive. Once per match.

Priority order is short. Egg Boat Safe turns wipes into partial wins, Scavenger cuts the seconds you stand blind in a chest, and Swift Egg plus Tough Egg decide whether the carry survives contact. Self-Revival only fires while a teammate is alive, so it does nothing on a solo run.

Take Egg Boat Safe first: It is the only epic that unlocks a feature rather than tuning a number, and both Safe Expansion rares and the Safe Reinforcement common are dead points until you own it.
09

The seasonal ladder

Every run scores toward a seasonal rank. Seven tiers stand between a fresh Egg Hunter and the apex, higher ranks drop richer reward boxes, and divisions widen as you climb, so the ladder slows near the top.

  1. Rookie Egg Hunter3 divisions
  2. Rising Egg Scout3 divisions
  3. Pro Egg Snatcher4 divisions
  4. Elite Egg Seeker4 divisions
  5. Expert Egg Raider5 divisions
  6. Egg Heist Master5 divisions
  7. Egg EmperorApex rank
The seven Egg Heist ranks

Rank Points only come from successful evacuations, and how many you earn is tied to the value of what you carried out. A thin evacuation with cheap loot pays a fraction of a full bag, so extending a run to fill the backpack moves the ladder faster than banking early does. The rank tiers also carry their own badge line, which the achievement and trophy roadmap lists beside the rest of the endgame book.

The ladder pays in chest slots and chest quality. Rank sets the number of Lucky Chest slots you own, the number of chests you can bank in a day, and how good those chests are allowed to be. It also gates the difficulties and the shop: Hard opens at Rising Egg Scout III, Nightmare at Pro Egg Snatcher IV, Chaos Challenge at Elite Egg Seeker IV, and new advanced stock appears on the shop counter at the bottom division of every tier from Rising Egg Scout up.

Chests unlock on a timer rather than on demand, and the higher ranks shorten that timer. A Common Chest opens in 10 seconds and an Uncommon in 15 to 180, a Rare runs 120 to 300, an Epic 300 to 1,800 and a Legendary 450 to 900. The rainbow Eggshell Chest that tops each rank pool takes 8 hours. Expert Egg Raider cuts every one of those timers to 0.8x, and Egg Emperor halves them.

A season reset clears the slots, not the rank: At the end of a season chest slots are cleared and any unclaimed chest is converted into Eggshell Coins and sent to your mailbox. Rank itself is cleared and converted into a starting Rank for the next season, and the Egg Heist talents reset with it. The reset timers carry the season boundaries.
10

The rule that decides who keeps what

One rule matters more than any build decision you will make, and it catches people out on their first few runs.

Evacuation decides who keeps what: Submitted Aniimo Eggs are shared across the whole team only on a safe evacuation; fail it and you keep only what you personally submitted. A run counts after a single optional objective, one submitted egg or a personal haul of Eggshell Coins, so leaving early is always on the table.
11

The six-team operation

The second queue on the mode screen requires six full teams and a higher Egg Heist rank than Team Mode asks for. It takes the same island and turns it into a race.

The headline prize is a giant egg that spawns once for the whole arena, and it is a Mysterious Prismana Egg: the same guaranteed Umbral or Prismana hatch the shop charges 400,000 coins for. It sits behind a restricted PvP area that opens on a timer, so the first half of the match is a race to be in position and the second is a fight over one object.

The balancing is stricter than Team Mode. Every Pathfinder is set to level 60 by default, participating Aniimo attributes are balanced, and the attribute bonuses from Held Items are switched off, leaving only Held Item effects, applied at Legendary quality whatever you brought. Five PvP-only egg nests seed the island with additional eggs, and a defeated Pathfinder leaves their backpack behind as a lootable container.

The moment a player twines with the giant egg, the round flips from a scramble into a defended escort: two teammates shepherd the carrier to the Egg Boat while five other teams try to take it. You can also retreat the moment you have your own egg rather than waiting for the PvP area at all, which is the low-risk line if you are there for the ladder rather than the prize.

One prize egg spawns for the whole arena, so whoever carries it becomes the thing every other team is heading toward.

Frequently asked

Can you play Egg Heist solo in Aniimo?

Yes. Egg Heist Team Mode queues with one to three players and never forces a fill, and Normal difficulty has no entry rank. Solo runs are the standard way to learn the Lost Sanctum, and a focused Normal clear takes about eight minutes. Skip the Self-Revival talent while you solo; it only fires when a teammate is alive.

What do you lose if you die in Egg Heist?

Everything in your backpack and everything you had equipped, including the backpack itself; the mode replaces it with a four-slot default bag. Items parked in Egg Boat Safe slots survive the wipe, and a failed run pays no Rank Points at all, because only a successful evacuation scores.

How do you get a Mysterious Prismana Egg from Egg Heist?

Buy it in the Egg Heist Shop. Full price is 400,000 Eggshell Coins plus 200 Prismana Shell Shards, with two limit-one discount slots at 80,000 coins plus 40 shards and 200,000 coins plus 100 shards. It also appears in the Hard, Nightmare and Chaos Challenge reward previews and as the giant egg in the six-team operation, and it guarantees an Umbral Aniimo or a Prismana Form hatch.

What level do you need for Egg Heist in Aniimo?

Level 50, plus the Wayfarer III title. The in-game unlock reads "Reach level 50 and become Wayfarer III to unlock", and nothing below that opens the queue. Once inside, your Pathfinder is set to level 60 anyway and participating Aniimo attributes are balanced, so the level requirement is a gate rather than a power check.

How many Egg Heist chests can you get per day?

Four at Rookie Egg Hunter, five from Rising Egg Scout through Elite Egg Seeker, and six from Expert Egg Raider upward. Chest slots run from 1 to 4 across the same ladder, and Expert Egg Raider cuts the unlock timers to 0.8x while Egg Emperor halves them. The full breakdown is in the seasonal ladder section above.
