Use the Hatchinator
Both Outpost Hatchinators and the Hatchinator in your Homeland accept eggs. Most egg records list both; some special eggs specify an Outpost, so check that egg’s use text. Incubation runs on its own clock, while hatching and revealing the result are a separate interaction after the clock reaches zero.
- 1Interact with the machine
Walk up to a Homeland or Outpost Hatchinator and open its egg screen.
- 2Choose the egg
Select the egg you want from the available inventory. Read its element and quality labels before committing a scarce guaranteed egg.
- 3Choose the + slot
Pick a free hexagonal slot marked with a +, confirm the placement and let the real-time countdown begin.
- 4Recognize a ready egg
When the countdown finishes, the slot changes to a ready egg marked with an !. If you miss the initial notification, return to the machine and use that marker to find the completed egg.
- 5Confirm the hatch setup
Choose the ready egg, follow Select an Aniipod to twine, then press Confirm. An Aniipod Ultra floors the hatch at Elite Potential and a Sparkling Cube guarantees Perfect Potential and Sparkling, the same floors each gives a catch. Every other Aniipod does nothing extra on a hatch.
- 6Pet the egg
Interact with and pet the egg when prompted. This starts the reveal; it is not more incubation time.
- 7Read the reveal and Claim
The staged reveal calls out the role, stage, element and Potential quality. The result panel identifies the Aniimo and shows its role, form, personality code, Sparkling status when applicable and a named trait. Press Claim to add it to your roster, or open Details first.
How long eggs take to hatch
The Hatchinator shows a live countdown for the exact egg you placed, and how long that countdown starts at depends on the egg’s quality tier, not its element or shell art. Higher tiers take longer because they hatch a stronger guarantee, not because the shell looks different.
| Quality tier | Typical hatch time | Incubation environment |
|---|---|---|
| Rare | 10 minutes | None |
| Epic | 2 hours 30 minutes | None |
| Legendary | 5 hours | None |
| Prismatic | 10 hours | Every Prismana-form egg, plus a handful of flagship Legendary and Shadow Sparkling eggs |
These are the typical times for each tier: a few named eggs inside a tier run faster or slower than that tier’s usual time. Open the exact egg in the Egg Almanac before you commit a scarce guarantee egg to a Hatchinator slot.
While an egg is still incubating, you and any visiting friends can pet the Hatchinator to speed it along: one pet per player each day, up to two pets total across everyone on that egg, plus one hatch speed-up item.
Where eggs come from
Eggs reach you from most corners of Idyll. Some are luck, but most of the useful ones are earned on purpose, which means you can aim. Wild nests are the one source with a published table: every species a nest can give and at what weight is listed under egg nest drops. Watching two hours of Aniimo on Twitch pays an Incredible Egg on top, listed in the Twitch Drops reward table.

| Source | What arrives |
|---|---|
| Stella showers | Wild eggs descend at night during a shower. In the game’s lore these are starlit eggs nurtured by departed Aniimo turned Stars. |
| Custom and role Mystery Egg Boxes | Boxes tuned to a combat role (Break, DPS, Heal, Regen or Support), so you can aim at the gap in your team. |
| Mystery Egg Box | A random Aniimo Egg, with a chance of a rare Umbral Aniimo Egg or an extremely rare Prismana Aniimo Egg. The Egg Heist Shop sells it from Egg Heist Master, 30 a week. |
| The Polaris Institute | Institute departure gifts include eggs that guarantee Perfect Potential or a Sparkling Aniimo. |
| Operation: Egg Heist | Ruins Aniimo Eggs, Umbral Aniimo Eggs and the Mysterious Prismana Egg, all hatched back home. |
| RV dispatches | Dispatches can produce Aniimo eggs with the Prismana trait. |
| Special and event eggs | Prismana and Umbrabow eggs, the Egg Gifted from Flowers, and rotating event eggs. |
| Breeding | A rare Dreamy Egg can appear as a mutation while breeding. |
Your Homeland also keeps an Egg Handbook that records each new egg type you collect and awards collection-progress rewards. A duplicate of an egg already in the handbook does not create another entry.
Use the Egg Almanac for pools and reverse lookup
The Egg and Incubation Almanac normalizes all 100 Egg-category catalogue records. Sixty-six enriched records currently name one or more hatch outcomes; the rest do not expose a pool in the mirror. That absence means unknown, not “hatches nothing.” The tool preserves partial pools and null rates instead of inventing completeness.
| Record shape | Useful question | Evidence boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Generic element or modifier egg | Which elements or outcome traits can this label affect? | Only use explicit effect text; do not derive a probability. |
| Species- or form-named egg | Can this egg lead to this exact species or form? | A known outcome may still be a partial pool. |
| Role / Potential egg | Does the description lock or bias a role or Potential result? | A boost and a guarantee are different claims. |
| Regional egg | Which area or acquisition route is attached to the record? | Region is not an event window or universal spawn rule. |
| Event egg | Which configured event awarded it? | Configured does not mean currently active, recurring or unexpired. |
Reverse lookup starts from the result: search Scorchhowl to find eggs whose published pool names that species, Prismana Form to inspect rare-form records, or an element, role, evolution line or event name to narrow the catalogue. Every result links back to its exact Aniilog identity and the evolution guide where a branch matters.
Data version: Aniipedia item snapshot fetched 2026-08-27, before the September retail launch. Confirm the live Egg Handbook, map, event panel and item descriptions before spending a scarce guarantee egg.
What an egg can guarantee
Not every egg is a coin flip. A large slice of the named eggs lock in a specific outcome, which changes the strategy completely: if you want a strong Aniimo, you chase the right egg instead of rolling and hoping.

Sparkling

Alpha

The powerful Alpha trait
On top of those, Prismana and Umbrabow eggs guarantee their rare form. Many named eggs are also species-locked: an Alpha Bolty Egg hatches an Alpha Bolty, and an Elite Fentuft Egg hatches an Elite Fentuft. A targeted egg is effectively a targeted creature.
Reading shell labels
Egg names and descriptions combine element labels, outcome modifiers and species or event names. Generic elemental eggs use the game’s flavour names below; do not expect every egg to carry exactly two labels.

- Scorching
Fire - Frost
Ice - Gale
Wind - Lumin
Light - Rocky
Earth - Shadow
Dark - Stream
Water - Thunder
Lightning - Verdant

The shell modifiers
The catalogue carries twelve recurring modifiers. They are parallel effects, not one weakest-to-strongest quality ladder: Heavy relates to HP and Alpha chance, Radiant climbs toward a guaranteed Sparkling, Starlight climbs toward a guaranteed Perfect Potential, Glow and Mystic climb toward a guaranteed Umbrabow form, and Rainbow Glow climbs toward a guaranteed Prismana form. Some modifiers guarantee an outcome and others only raise its chance.
| Modifier | Effect |
|---|---|
| Heavy | Carries significant HP, and a chance to hatch an Alpha Aniimo. |
| Over-Spec | Extraordinary size and energy fluctuations, nurturing exceptional HP. |
| Elite Guarantee | Guaranteed to hatch an Aniimo with Elite Potential or higher. |

Aniipod choice matters for exactly three models
The hatch flow asks you to Select an Aniipod to twine, and for five of the eight models below the choice changes nothing about the hatch: the base Aniipod, Aniipod Pro, Aniipod Mega, Aniipod Hyper and Aniipod Track only matter for catching. An Aniipod Ultra floors a hatch at Elite Potential and a Sparkling Cube guarantees Perfect Potential and Sparkling, the same floors each gives a catch. The seasonal Legendary Aniipod: Windchase Departure goes further: twined into a hatch, it guarantees Perfect Potential, Sparkling and the exclusive Sparkling effect of the Windchase Departure season, and no egg blocks it. Save those three for an egg where the guarantee is worth spending.

Prismana eggs and guaranteed forms
A Prismana-form Aniimo is a rainbow-sheened variant tied to Prismana Flow weather. A Prismana Egg guarantees one outright, while a Rainbow Glow modifier only raises the odds. There are 25 species with a Prismana form, from Glameep to Magmarex.

Umbrabow eggs, the shadow form
Prismana is not the only special form that arrives in a shell. A Mysterious Prismana Egg or a species-specific egg hatches the shadow-touched form, and the official Index lists 12 lines with one. Turbo shows the shift clearly. The Egg Heist Shop stocks the Mysterious egg. Match these shells by their art and guarantee text rather than by a remembered name, because the client relabelled the whole family between builds.

The 12 Umbrabow lines
The two rosters overlap heavily, though not completely. Every Umbrabow species also has a Prismana form, while these thirteen are Prismana-only.

Frequently asked
Can you use both Outpost and Homeland Hatchinators?
Yes. Most egg records name Outpost Hatchinators and Home Hatchinators, while some special eggs call for an Outpost specifically. Read the egg’s use text before you carry it home.
Why is a ready egg still in the Hatchinator?
Finishing incubation only ends the countdown. Select the ready slot marked !, confirm the Aniipod, pet the egg through its staged reveal and press Claim. Until Claim is completed, the egg can remain ready in the machine.
What does a Super Dazzling egg guarantee?
A Super Dazzling egg hatches a Sparkling Aniimo. That is a guarantee, not an odds boost. Radiant and Starlight only raise the Sparkling chance, so if you are hunting a shiny specifically, Super Dazzling and Supernova are the two labels worth spending on.
Does the Aniipod you use matter for hatching?
For five of the eight models, no: the base Aniipod, Aniipod Pro, Aniipod Mega, Aniipod Hyper and Aniipod Track change nothing about a hatch, so pick any of those and keep them for the field. An Aniipod Ultra floors the hatch at Elite Potential, and a Sparkling Cube guarantees Perfect Potential and Sparkling, the same floors each gives a catch. The Legendary Aniipod: Windchase Departure adds the Windchase Departure season-exclusive Sparkling effect on top of both guarantees.
Does an egg’s color or pattern guarantee its Potential or Sparkling result?
No. A shell label only means what its own text says. Radiant, Rainbow Glow, Glow and Mystic only raise a chance; Super Dazzling, Supernova, Prismana, Ultra Mysterious and the Elite Guarantee lock in an outcome outright. Two eggs with a similar-looking shell can carry completely different guarantees, so read the exact label before assuming what a colorful shell promises.
