Egg Heist's October developer Q&A outlines easier rescues, returning Collectibles and more ways to build for Chaos. The common thread is broader choices: more ways to help a squadmate, more ways to complete a collection, and more answers to a difficult encounter than repeating the same lineup.
Those are development plans. The practical question for the next run is which current rule is costing your team rewards, and which announced change would address it. Entry, combat loadout and extraction are still three different parts of the mode.
- Current Team Mode run
- 30 minutes
- Active Aniimo
- Slot 1
- Support slots
- Core Skill calls
- Chaos entry
- Elite Egg Seeker IV and a Chaos Ticket
Rescue changes target a real squad problem
The team plans new mechanics that make helping a downed teammate easier, along with recognition and rewards for players who rescue others. The announcement does not replace the rescue actions currently available in a run.
That distinction matters when the squad is already under pressure. A promised rescue reward is not something to factor into today's escape calculation. Agree on who can cover an attempt, who needs to disengage and when the whole team should retreat.
The Egg Heist guide explains the present extraction loop. Use it to prepare the current run, then revise the rescue plan when an implemented update changes the options.
Collectibles are planned to return after their season
The Q&A describes more reliable Collectible acquisition in the second half of S1, plus future events that bring back earlier seasons' Collectibles. That gives an incomplete collection a future route instead of making every missing entry a reason to overstay a dangerous run.
Separate the entry you are pursuing now from the returns you want to watch for. A future return does not assign today's reward to a different difficulty or guarantee it from the next chest.
More Aniimo, Chips and Sanctum interactions are proposed
Chaos is meant to remain the difficult squad challenge, but its future options should widen. The proposed additions cover several different problems:
| Planned addition | The gameplay choice it could expand |
|---|---|
| More Aniimo suited to Egg Heist | Which active creature and supports fit the mode |
| More Chip acquisition methods | How players obtain healing and melee options |
| Interactive Sanctum elements | How a squad adapts within a particular run |
| A more flexible high-difficulty format | Which optional challenge a player chooses to attempt |
The useful preparation is to identify the missing function in your own squad. Repeated knockdowns call for a different response from slow clears or a poor extraction decision. A future roster addition is valuable when it solves one of those problems, rather than simply being new.
Current loadout rules still decide which supports work
Egg Heist's roster is not an ordinary four-creature combat rotation. Slot 1 is the active Aniimo; the other three slots briefly call their Core Skill. Choose those slots by the skill you can actually use in this mode.
For example, a Leafy support slot supplies Vitality Blooms. It does not also give you Cyclone of Leaves and Lotus Bloom as part of that support call. Check the actual Core Skill when choosing healing, EP recovery or a matching buff.
The equipment system is also separate from your ordinary build: an Attack Amplifier, Protective Unit and matching Chips supply the mode's loadout. The Egg Heist gear guide lists the equipment and socket rules, while support by mode explains the roster distinction.

For supplies, the Safe protects what you keep there, but its contents must move into the bag before you can use them. Treat that as a preparation decision, rather than discovering during a rescue that the item you need is still protected storage.
The roadmap has two different update rhythms
The plan pairs major seasonal updates with smaller updates every two weeks. The first half of a season focuses primarily on PvE, while the second half shifts toward casual competitive modes. Half-season additions are intended to introduce fresh Collectibles, maps, Aniimo and gameplay.
That is a content cadence, not a dated release list for every item in the Q&A. Follow the implemented announcement for the specific addition you want before spending a ticket or rebuilding a loadout around it.
Keep a current setup to compare with the new option
Save the active creature, support Core Skills and equipment that give your squad reliable clears now. When a new Aniimo or Chip becomes available, replace the part that addresses your identified problem. Comparing the same run objective makes the result more useful than changing every slot at once.
Chaos entry and the next run's decision
Chaos requires Tier IV, Elite Egg Seeker, and a Chaos Ticket. These are separate checks: reaching the rank does not remove the ticket requirement, and having a ticket does not substitute for the rank.
The roadmap's promise is more options. A useful run today still begins with a loadout that fits the mode and ends with a decision to bring its rewards home.
