Start playing

Your first rotation

  1. 01

Use short skills to build four Sword Dance stacks.

  2. 02

Land basic attacks to spend those stacks on extra damage.

  3. 03

Move out of danger, then rebuild. Choose the form and skill set below for the target.

EP is your skill resource. BREAK is the vulnerable phase after the enemy’s break bar is depleted. An ultimate is the charged special skill. Read the full rotation and entry requirements.

At a glance

Stat priorities

Start with the first priority and work down. These are practical build goals, not simulated stat weights.

  1. 1. ATK

Fund the skill-to-basic Sword Dance loop before chasing conditional bonuses.

  2. 2. Critical rate

Use reliable crit buffs first. A counter-only buff does not have full uptime when you miss the counter.

  3. 3. EP recovery and damage

Keep Thorny Rain available. Dazmand buffs Lightning damage crits, not Grass damage crits.

Party blueprints

Three ways to build around the blade

Start balanced, lean into crit pressure, or widen the matchup plan with BREAK and coverage. Core slots define this blueprint. Replace a flex member only if its replacement still covers the job described on the card.

Balanced field team

Evergreen EscortRecommended

Melloblum supports Grass pressure, Somniwing smooths EP, and Prismana Glameep sustains the full party. Hypnotic Spores opens a 25% damage-taken hit against an eligible target.

Low-counter Lightning coverage

Charged EdgeSituational variant

Thunderstorm Thornblade keeps the short-skill Sword Dance loop. Dazmand supports Lightning Impact; its Lightning-only crit buff does not boost Grass Thorny Rain. Keep Melloblum instead when Grass damage dominates.

Forms and typing

One rotation, three type profiles

Every form keeps the core trait while changing the matchup through Grass, Lightning and Water typing.

Build stacks, spend them, stay active

The shortest version of the Sword Dance loop.

  1. Step 1: Choose the low-counter variant when needed

On Thunderstorm Form, use Thorny Rain, Lightning Impact and empowered basics as the steady loop. Dazmand is optional Lightning support; compare the same target and investment before replacing a Grass buffer.

  2. Step 2: Open with skills

Use the short skills to reach four Sword Dance stacks.

  3. Step 3: Cash out basics

Spend one stack per basic attack for Sword Dance bonus damage.

  4. Step 4: Flex the form

Use Thunderstorm, Prismana or Umbrabow when its typing improves the matchup.

Execution notes

Make the build hold together

Use these encounter rules to preserve the rotation instead of forcing the same sequence into every target.

Keep the loop intact

Coverage forms change typing, not the Sword Dance plan.

BREAK first when possible

A broken target gives the full basic-attack cash-out a safer window.
