What an Aniimo personality is
Personality is a set of four entries an Aniimo is born with. The game builds it from four paired axes, headed MBTI on the Aniimo screen: E against I, S against N, T against F, and J against P. An Aniimo holds exactly one entry from each pair, never both, so there are 16 possible personalities and no way to stack two entries from the same axis.
Each entry is a flat percentage on one stat and it applies all the time, with no condition, no cooldown and no cost. The Aniimo screen splits the result into a Personality - Combat Bonus row and a Personality - Home Bonus row, because the same four letters pay twice: once in battle and once at a Homeland facility.
- Set when you obtain it. A wild catch, an egg hatched at a Hatchinator and an Aniimo claimed from an event all arrive with a personality already rolled.
- Untouched by growth. Levelling, Star Up, Capability Awakening and evolution all leave personality exactly as it was.
- Untouched by the Prismana toggle. An Aniimo flipped into its Prismana variant keeps its Innate Potentials, its trait and its personality.
- Not something you pick in Breeding. Breeding lets you carry up to 4 innate potentials and 1 trait from the parents into the egg. Personality is not on that list, and the hatched Aniimo rolls its own.
- Changed only by feeding. A Psyche Fruit is the one item that rewrites it.
The eight entries and what each one adds
Eight entries, four axes, one entry per axis. The first two axes decide what an Aniimo is for; the last two decide how it survives. Read the pair, not the single letter: taking E means giving up I, and that trade is the whole decision.
- E or I
Attack or energy. Energetic raises ATK and BREAK by 2%, Instinctive raises REGEN by 4%. This is the axis that decides the role.
- S or N
Flat damage or crit rate. Practical raises DMG by 4% on every hit, Nimble raises Crit Rate by 5% on the hits that roll one.
- T or F
Physical or magic defence. Tenacious raises P.DEF by 6%, Faithful raises M.DEF by 6%. Pick by the boss, not the build.
- J or P
Pool or mitigation. Judicious raises HP by 4%, Playful cuts incoming damage by 4% across both schools.
| Axis | Entry | Effect | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
| E · Energetic | ATK +2%, BREAK +2% | The only entry that touches BREAK. Take it on anything that attacks. | |
| I · Instinctive | REGEN +4% | The only entry that raises energy regeneration. Take it on anything that sustains. | |
| S · Practical | DMG +4% | A flat multiplier on damage dealt, with no crit condition attached. | |
| N · Nimble | Crit Rate +5% | Only pays on the hits that crit, so it wants crit damage already built. | |
| T · Tenacious | P.DEF +6% | Physical defence. The larger of the two defensive numbers on this axis by school. | |
| F · Faithful | M.DEF +6% | Magic defence. Same size as T, pointed at the other damage school. | |
| J · Judicious | HP +4% | A bigger health pool, which every shield and heal then works from. | |
| P · Playful | DMG Reduction +4% | Cuts incoming damage of both schools instead of one. |

Only the first two axes change what an Aniimo contributes to a fight. The E/I axis decides whether it gets an attack bonus or an energy bonus, and the S/N axis decides whether its damage comes as a flat multiplier or as crit rate. Pick those two for the role, then take whichever defensive pair suits the fight you keep losing.
Every page under the build guides now names the personality it wants on the same card as its stat priorities, so you can check a target without working the letters out again. Inferlupa and Malevsera are the clearest DPS examples, Somniwing the support one and Coraliz the healer. For the roles themselves, the team building guide explains what a DPS, BREAK, SUP, HEAL and ENERGY slot each owes the party.
All 16 personality types, sorted by what they suit
The first two letters put a personality in one of four groups. Inside a group the four types are equally good and differ only in how the Aniimo takes damage, which is why nothing below ranks them one to sixteen: that ordering would be invented rather than read.

The one to reroll first
Four of those types are worth chasing on purpose rather than accepting: ESTJ for a carry, ENTJ for a crit carry, ISTJ for a support and ISFJ for a healer. The other twelve are fine on an Aniimo you already like, and none of them is a reason to release anything.
How to reroll with a Psyche Fruit
The Psyche Fruit is the only item that changes a personality. Feeding one rewrites all four entries at random, so it is a reroll rather than an edit: there is no way to keep three letters and change the fourth, and no way to pick the result.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Psyche Fruit | |
| Effect | Feed to an Aniimo to change its personality |
| Result | All four entries are re-rolled at random |
| Shop price | 100 Glimmer in the store Glimmer tab |
| Vendor price | 140,000 Credits when it appears at the Mysterious Vendor, 3 per rotation |
| Per-Aniimo limit | None. Feed as many as you are willing to spend |
| Fixed personalities | Some Aniimo cannot be changed and the feed is refused |
- 1Decide the Aniimo first, not the personality
A reroll is only worth it on an Aniimo you have already committed to: the form you want, a Potential rating you are happy with, and Resonance stars already paid for. Rerolling a Common-grade catch you will replace next week wastes the fruit.
- 2Know which two letters you need
Work out the first two entries from the role, using the table above. Slots three and four almost never justify a fruit on their own, because every option in them is defensive.
- 3Feed it from the bag
Use the fruit on the Aniimo. The panel confirms with Personality switched. and the new four entries are live immediately.
- 4Stop when the first two letters are right
Once the E/I and S/N slots match the role, the build is done. Chasing an exact four-letter code costs several more fruits for a defensive swap worth a few percent.
Glimmer is the scarcer of the two currencies, so compare a fruit against the other Glimmer listings before you buy. The currencies and shops guide carries the full Glimmer and Credits price sheet and the Mysterious Vendor rotation.
What personality does in the Homeland
Personality pays a second time at home. 19 facility types name one letter as their Personality recommendation, and an Aniimo whose personality contains that letter produces 20% more workload at that facility. The bonus is a single flag, not one per matching letter, so it is 20% once and never 80%.

| Letter | Facilities that ask for it |
|---|---|
| Bouncy Brew Keg, Woodworking Bench | |
| Dewy House, Phonolfactory Table | |
| Claw Game Cooker, Chimney Kiln | |
| Floral Windmill, Jukebox Dryer, Blazing Stove | |
| Carousel Mill, Simmering Pot | |
| Starfall Hammock, Well, Joy Wheel Loom | |
| Nimbus Bed, Tidewhisper Sandcastle, Crafting Table | |
| Mine, Pickling Jar |
Because each Aniimo carries four letters, one worker can be the right hire at four different facility types. It only collects the bonus at the bench it is standing in, so spread letters across the base rather than hoarding one. Rarity does nothing here: a Sparkling or Umbral worker with the wrong letter loses to an ordinary one with the right letter and the same ability level. Run the numbers with the Homeland optimizer.
Where personality decides an evolution
Four evolution steps read the personality panel instead of a stat. A gate asks for one named entry or for a pair, and an Aniimo that does not carry it simply cannot take that branch, whatever its level. Regional, weather and night forms stack their own region, time and weather checks on top of the personality one, and the form-specific evolution conditions list them branch by branch.
Budclaw to GeoclawNeeds TPersonality contains TenaciousThe branch needs a personality that contains Tenacious. Feed for the T before you meet the rest of the step, not after.
Budsquire to MelloblumNeeds FPersonality contains FaithfulThis one asks for Faithful, so the T/F slot has to land on F. Nothing else about the step touches personality.
Popota to PanpantaNeeds I and JAny I..J personality qualifiesThe first Popota branch wants Instinctive and Judicious together, which means an I in slot one and a J in slot four.
Popota to PiopiotaNeeds E and PAny E..P personality qualifiesThe other branch wants Energetic and Playful, so E in slot one and P in slot four. The two Popota branches are mutually exclusive by personality alone.Keep, train or release
Personality is the cheapest thing about an Aniimo to fix, so it belongs last in a keep-or-release decision. Innate Potential is locked at birth and only a Capafruit raises it, by 1 on each of the six attributes, once per Aniimo. The form, the gender and the species are locked outright. Personality costs one item.
Perfect or Elite Potential, wrong personality
The expensive half is already right.
Keep it and reroll the personality when a fruit is cheap. This is the case fruits exist for.
Common Potential, perfect personality
The cheap half is right and the expensive half is not.
Keep it only as a Homeland worker, where the facility letter is what pays and Potential barely shows. Catch another for the party.
Good Potential, first two letters already right
Nothing here needs an item.
Train it. The defensive slots are worth a few percent and are not worth a fruit or a second catch.
Common Potential, wrong personality, a duplicate you already have
Two problems, and a better copy in the box.
Release it for the materials. Releasing is permanent, so confirm the better copy is the one you are keeping before you press it.
A released Aniimo cannot be recovered and a fled wild Aniimo never returns as that individual.
An Aniimo whose evolution is personality-gated
The letters are a requirement, not a bonus.
Check the panel before you level it. Reaching the gate level with the wrong pair means a fruit and a fresh roll.
For the appraisal side of the same decision, the evaluating Aniimo guide walks the Research Console rating, and the Aniimo evaluator scores a catch against its recommended attributes.
Frequently asked
What is the best personality in Aniimo?
There is no single best one, because the first two entries decide the role. ESTJ is the strongest damage carry, since S is the only flat DMG +4% and E is the only source of BREAK +2%. ISTJ is the strongest support and ISFJ the strongest healer, because I is the only entry that raises REGEN. Swap S for N on a build that already stacks crit damage.
How do you change an Aniimo personality?
Feed it a Psyche Fruit, which costs 100 Glimmer in the shop and also turns up at the Mysterious Vendor for 140,000 Credits, 3 per rotation. It re-rolls all four entries at random rather than letting you choose, and a few Aniimo carry a fixed personality that refuses the feed.
Does levelling or evolving change an Aniimo personality?
No. Levelling, Star Up, Capability Awakening, evolution and the Prismana toggle all leave the four entries exactly as they were. Only a Psyche Fruit rewrites them, and Breeding does not let you carry a parent personality into the egg.
Is personality worth caring about for a new player?
Yes for Homeland work, where a matching letter is worth 20% more workload at that facility and costs nothing to use. For combat it is worth a few percent per line, so pick it when you have a choice of catches and ignore it while you are still finding your first team. Potential matters more early.
Which personality should I put on each Homeland facility?
Match the letter the bench asks for: E at the Bouncy Brew Keg, I at the Dewy House, S at the Claw Game Cooker, N at the Floral Windmill, T at the Carousel Mill, F at the Starfall Hammock, J at the Nimbus Bed and P at the Mine. Fill the formula work ability first, then use the letter to choose between equal workers.
