A Fragrant Journey: regional ingredients and hand-ins

Each regional Fragrant Journey has its own ingredient and perfumer. Completing a region’s story, collecting its special item and handing that item to the perfumer are separate steps. Use the branch name in the Log to choose the right chain before following a marker.

This directory verifies the named ingredients and prerequisite links. It does not claim a complete interior route for every regional story. Follow the current Log between the confirmed steps below; the Forest of Falling Stars branch has its own fully illustrated walkthrough.

Rosetower Woods: brew the nectar before returning to Awen

  1. 1Meet Awen through the local story

    If Awen is missing, follow the Flowers and Thorns continuation from Sea of Flowers into Rosetower Woods. Select A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods when collecting the perfume ingredient.

  2. 2Find the Whitesnow Rose at Whiterose Tower

    The quest places the rose at the top of the tower/perfumery. Follow the local ascent objective instead of searching ordinary ground-level flowers.

  3. 3Twine with Dewy for the collection

    Use Dewy to collect the Whitesnow Rose nectar when the target asks for it. The flower, nectar and finished Aromathyst are different stages.

  4. 4Brew at the indicated nest

    Take the nectar to the nest the quest identifies and make Whitesnow Rose Aromathyst. Collect the completed ingredient before leaving.

  5. 5Deliver the Aromathyst to Awen

    Return with the finished ingredient and complete the hand-in. Awen makes the perfume called Home; possessing raw nectar alone does not finish the branch.

Beast Fang Ridge: Warrior comes before the flower

  1. 1Find Ranka and the fragrant Emberpup

    Follow the branch’s opening objective to the perfumer and its partner. The Emberpup wants to remain at Beast Fang Ridge to obtain Flareburst Flowers.

  2. 2Complete the regional Warrior prerequisite

    Use the Beast Fang Ridge Warrior route. This is the Inferlupa story; the separate Russet Highlands Warrior chain belongs to another perfume ingredient.

  3. 3Collect and deliver Flareburst Flowers

    Return to the ingredient objective, collect the flower and give it to Ranka. Completing Warrior does not itself perform the perfume hand-in.

Echoback Landing: do not leave the Whalesong Blossom behind

  1. 1Accept Elvira’s ingredient request

    Track the branch for the Whalesong Blossom, the flower associated with intense longing.

  2. 2Complete the whale-bone story

    Follow Everlasting Echoback Song through its nighttime Echonite chain and painter’s conclusion.

  3. 3Return to the blossom objective and pick it up

    Inspect the flower location after the story. A completed whale Journey is not an inventory item; the blossom requires its own collection interaction.

  4. 4Give the blossom to Elvira

    Finish the perfume hand-in, then check the branch’s completion state. Omega Sherro is a different Journey and does not replace this ingredient.

Finishing the whale story does not put the blossom in your bag; it stays where it grows until you collect it.

Blitzwood: the tree, the calls and the Golden Answer

Avetine’s ingredient objective names An Answer from the Heavens as its prerequisite. Its landmark is the Blitz Tree, where Bolties gather to make calls. Bring Bolty for the Twining objectives; the quest asks you to participate, not simply defeat a Lightning enemy.

The daytime gatheringVisit beneath the Blitz Tree during the day. The active objective then asks you to Twine with Bolty and make a call beneath the tree. Stay with that interaction until the objective changes.
The nighttime visitorsThe ruffled old Bolty gives a different instruction: hide behind the Blitz Tree at night and wait. Match both the time and the hiding position. A daytime visit beneath the tree does not satisfy that target.
The reply and later callsFollow the current target, including replying to the frizzy young Bolty and any further call beneath the tree. These are separate objective entries; the ingredient hand-in does not replace them.

After the Journey, return to the Golden Answer collection target. The ingredient is a fallen Blitz Tree branch, not a perfume bottle or the Bolty egg associated with the tree. Confirm that exact item is in your inventory, then give it to Avetine and finish the perfume dialogue.

Avetine and Baboni have different roles: Avetine requests the Golden Answer. Baboni is Avetine’s apprentice and is named as the maker of the finished Golden Wish perfume. Use the person named in your current hand-in objective; the perfume’s maker description is not a replacement destination.

Berylline Causeway: identify the Stoneflower ingredient

Marlowe sends you to Berylline Causeway for an unusual perfume ingredient. Stoneflower Dew comes from a flower growing within ancient stone. It is a quest ingredient, distinct from ordinary flowers and Homeland crops. Keep the ingredient objective selected while searching the region; the exact approach to its collection interaction is still being mapped.

Bring back the exact dewCheck the inventory name before returning to Marlowe. Completing another Berylline story or collecting an ordinary flower does not satisfy the Stoneflower Dew hand-in.
Finish the perfume trialAfter you submit the dew, Marlowe blends the perfume and offers a trial. Continue that scene and its closing dialogue. The collapse during the trial is part of the story, not a reason to restart the ingredient hunt.
The extra ingredients are dialogueMarlowe describes adding Skippy tears, Cornet tailfeathers and other materials. His recipe explanation does not by itself create extra collection objectives for you. Follow the actual Log target.

    The root and flower have separate objective strings. Follow the active stage; do not replace one with the other.

The Forest of Falling Stars route covers the remaining branch: two direct Large Starines, ten ordinary Starines exchanged for a third, the nest hand-in, Twinkle’s dialogue, the separate Treasured pickup and Dael’s final hand-in.

If the perfume or central flower will not progress

  1. 1Check the regional prerequisite

    A branch can be accepted before its ingredient becomes obtainable. Read any prerequisite quest named in the target.

  2. 2Check the inventory item

    Do you have the exact requested ingredient, or only a completed story and an unopened pickup? Check transformed ingredients such as nectar versus Aromathyst.

  3. 3Check the perfumer hand-in

    Return to the correct perfumer and finish the dialogue. For a later objective that uses perfumes, owning an ingredient is not the same as owning the finished perfume.

Do not apply older central-flower reward claims to the current game. The regional hand-ins above are separate from any later reward or unlock, which should be checked in the current Log.

Why did the regional story not finish A Fragrant Journey?

Story completion, ingredient collection and the perfumer hand-in are separate. Check that the exact ingredient is in your inventory, then return to the branch’s named perfumer.

Which Warrior quest does my perfume need?

Ranka’s Flareburst Flower branch names Beast Fang Ridge. Grace’s Flame Flower branch names Russet Highlands. Match the region in the prerequisite rather than treating the two Warrior entries as the same quest.
