Prepare the evolution before the journey
The evolution reads two conditions and two costs. It needs a Flameruff in its Basic form, trained to Aniimo level 20, and it needs Journey: Warrior submitted on your account. The regional forms (Highland Form and Mountain Woods Form) have no Inferlupa branch at all and only continue to Scorchhowl. Decide which individual you are spending the kit on before you start the journey, because the evolution consumes one Aniimo you already own.

Run Journey: Warrior in this order
Warrior runs entirely inside Beast Fang Ridge, called Thousand-Fang Ridge in the item text. Open the Beast Fang Ridge area and set down at the teleport array on the mountain woods shelf; the Inferlupa itself stands on the highland above, at 1324, 1048 on the AniimoVerse atlas. Almost every objective below is night-only, so arrive with the clock already dark.
In the Dead Forest of Beast Fang Ridge, there is a legend about a wolf’s head taking flight in the night.
- 1Listen to the Emberpup ghost story
The chain opens as a Journey clue. After dark, a group of Emberpups gathers around a campfire outside the dead forest telling stories about a flying wolf head. Sit in on it and the clue turns into the journey.
- 2Meet the old wolf on the highland
Climb to the exact Inferlupa pin at 1324, 1048 and speak to the Inferlupa standing there. It answers, it does not join you.
- 3Join the late-night chat
Return to the campfire and ask the Emberpups about the Inferlupa. This objective appears three times across the journey, once per night, and it is the step the whole chain pivots on.
- 4Follow the eavesdropper trail
Someone is listening in. Each night leaves one clue pickup on the trail, and the three of them are Spirit Dust: Inferlupa, Spirit Dust: Old Inferlupa and Spirit Dust: Restrained Inferlupa. Each one opens a Spirit Link record.
- 5Track the scared and Fragrant Emberpups
Talk to the scared Emberpup, find the Fragrant Emberpup it points you at, then answer Dr. Lewis when the call comes in. These three run back to back on the first night.
- 6Travel Twined with an Emberpup
Two objectives in the middle of the first night only complete while you are Twined with an Emberpup-family Aniimo and standing on the marked spot. They print no instruction of their own. Deploy an Emberpup, Flameruff or Scorchhowl, enter Twine Mode, then walk the marker.
- 7Let the two real-day objectives run
The journey stops twice on an objective that reads “Wait until tomorrow (real time).” Each one clears on the next real calendar day, not after a set number of hours and not on an in-game sunrise. Play something else and come back the following night.
- 8Fight, defeat and talk to the old wolf
The last night is a forced fight followed by a second, harder defeat, then a closing conversation. The evolution gate checks the submitted journey, so winning the fight without finishing that conversation leaves the route locked.

How long the Inferlupa unlock takes
Two objectives in the chain wait for the next real calendar day, and the objectives on either side of them only run at night. Those two facts set the floor: 3 separate real-world nights, no matter how fast you play. There is no item, no currency and no Elite Training reward that skips a real-day wait.
- Night 1: open the journey and clear the first block: Ghost story, the highland conversation, the late-night chat, the first clue pickup, the scared and Fragrant Emberpups, Dr. Lewis, and the two Twined travel objectives. The journey then stops on its first real-day wait.
- Night 2: ask again and clear the second block: Return to the campfire after dark, ask about the Inferlupa again, take the second clue pickup and find the eavesdropper. The journey stops on its second real-day wait.
- Night 3: the third chat and the fight: Third late-night chat, third clue pickup, then the fight, the defeat and the closing conversation. The evolution unlocks the moment the journey is submitted.

What the night gate actually gates
Two different clocks run in this journey and they are easy to confuse. The night condition is an in-game time of day that comes round every cycle. The real-day wait is a calendar check that clears once per real day. Missing the night costs you a trip back; missing nothing at all still costs you the real day.
Separate progress checks
Daylight
- What to do
- Farm Flameruff: Elite and train the Flameruff you plan to spend
- What it advances
- Your spirit count and the training level requirement
Night, same day
- What to do
- Run the journey objectives at the campfire and on the trail
- What it advances
- The night-only steps between the two waits
After the final battle
Opens once
- What to do
- Finish the closing conversation and submit the journey
- What it advances
- The Inferlupa evolution route itself
Prepare the six spirits and one stone
The route costs 6 Unbroken Flameruff Spirits and 1 Night Stone. Spirits drop from Flameruff: Elite, the marked pack that roams Thousand-Fang Ridge; use the Flameruff pins in Beast Fang Ridge to find the group. Night Stone comes from Alpha defeats, and the Alpha Scorchhowl that guards the tallest Ridgeback Tree sits in the same region at 1067, 991.
| Material | Count | Where it drops | Planning note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unbroken Flameruff Spirit | 6 | Flameruff: Elite | Releasing an Inferlupa also returns spirits, which matters only if you evolve a second one. |
| Night Stone | 1 | Alpha defeats | One Flux Crystal covers the stone. It cannot cover the spirits. |
If the chain will not advance
Almost every report of a stuck Warrior chain comes down to one of five things. Two of them are the objectives the tracker does not describe, and one is a Flameruff that was never eligible in the first place.
The objective marker is there but nothing happens when you arrive
Two objectives on the first night only complete while you are Twined with an Emberpup-family Aniimo.
Deploy an Emberpup, Flameruff or Scorchhowl, enter Twine Mode, then step onto the marker again.
These two objectives print no instruction of their own, so the tracker looks broken rather than unmet.
The campfire is empty and the Emberpups are gone
The journey objectives only run at night.
Come back after dark. The clearing outside the dead forest is unoccupied during the day and no objective ticks over.
“Wait until tomorrow (real time)” will not clear
It is a real calendar check, not an elapsed-hours timer.
Log back in on the next real day. Sleeping, fast travel and in-game night cycles do not move it.
It happens twice, so the chain cannot be finished inside a single real day under any circumstances.
The journey is finished but Inferlupa is not an option
The Flameruff you selected is a regional form, or it is below level 20.
Select a Basic Flameruff at Aniimo level 20 or higher. Highland Form and Mountain Woods Form have only a Scorchhowl branch.
Check the form label on the card, not the region you caught it in: a Basic Flameruff can be caught in Beast Fang Ridge too.
You won the final fight and nothing unlocked
The evolution reads the submitted journey state, not the battle result.
Finish the closing conversation and hand the journey in. The route stays locked until the journey itself is complete.

Evolve the Flameruff you actually want
With Warrior submitted, open a Basic Flameruff at level 20 or higher and choose Inferlupa. The chain from the start is Emberpup, then Flameruff, then either Scorchhowl or Inferlupa; the Flameruff evolution section lists the exact route for every form.

The result is a Nova-stage BREAK Aniimo carrying Fire and Dark, with a six-stat total of 541 and 108 BREAK, the highest number in its own line. Take it straight to the Inferlupa BREAK carry build for teams and the Full Energy rotation, or compare its stats on the Inferlupa Aniilog page and its siblings in the evolution families guide.
Frequently asked
How many days does the Inferlupa quest take?
Three real-world nights at minimum. Journey: Warrior carries 2 objectives that read “Wait until tomorrow (real time),” and each clears on the next real calendar day, so the chain spans 3 separate days however quickly you play.
Why is my Warrior quest objective not completing?
The two most common causes are the night condition and the Twining requirement. Objectives only advance after dark, and two of them on the first night complete only while you are Twined with an Emberpup-family Aniimo standing on the marker.
Can Emberpup evolve directly into Inferlupa?
No. Emberpup evolves into Flameruff at Aniimo level 12 after Sanctum: First Spark, and Inferlupa is a second branch from Basic Flameruff at level 20. Highland Form and Mountain Woods Form Flameruff cannot take that branch at all.
How many materials do you need to evolve Inferlupa?
6 Unbroken Flameruff Spirits and 1 Night Stone, plus a Basic Flameruff at level 20 and the submitted Warrior hand-in. One Flux Crystal can stand in for the Night Stone.
Do you catch Inferlupa after the final fight?
No. The Inferlupa on the ridge leaves after the closing conversation. The reward is the evolution route, which you then spend on a Flameruff you already own.
