Aniimo launches on September 16, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The iOS and Android versions follow on September 23, exactly one week later.
Why the gap? The honest answer is that Pawprint Studio has not announced an official reason. Its launch reveal gives the two dates without blaming app-store approval, an exclusivity deal or any other cause. The strongest public clue comes from the July 2026 test, when Pawprint specifically warned mobile players about lag and device heating while it continued polishing and optimizing the game.
That makes extra mobile optimization a reasonable explanation. It does not make it a confirmed one.

What Pawprint has actually confirmed
The August launch announcement is narrow: PC and consoles open on September 16, while mobile opens on September 23. It does not describe the later date as a delay, and it does not say the iPhone or Android builds failed certification.
That distinction matters. Store review, launch capacity and platform-specific testing can all affect a mobile release, but none has been identified as the reason here. Claims that Apple, Google or a console deal caused the gap are speculation.
The useful evidence is Pawprint’s own note from the Global Closed Beta. That test included PC, iOS, Android and Steam. At the start, the studio said the game was still being polished and optimized and warned that mobile players could experience lag, device heating or other performance issues. It also said test data would be collected while optimization continued.
Is September 16 early access?
No. September 16 is the normal free-to-play launch for the PC and console versions, not a paid early-access period. September 23 is the separate release date for the App Store and Google Play builds.
That means a console player can begin a regular account, follow the story and build a roster during the gap. A mobile-only player cannot enter through the phone client until the following week.
The stagger also does not prove that mobile will use separate servers or receive different content. Pawprint has presented Aniimo as a connected multiplatform game; only the client dates are split in the current announcement.
What console players can do during the extra week
If you are starting on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, the seven-day lead is enough to clear the opening, learn the main systems and make the mobile version useful as a second way to play when it arrives.
- Create the account you intend to keep. Use the same email tied to your Aniimo pre-registration or pre-launch rewards. Do not treat a platform profile and a Pawprint account as interchangeable until the launch client shows exactly how they are linked.
- Finish the opening before rushing your roster. Learn catching, Twining, exploration and the first progression gates. The beginner guide can help without requiring you to memorize every system before launch.
- Claim launch rewards on the correct character. Check the in-game mailbox and event pages, and use the codes page for verified codes rather than launch-day lists copied without testing.
- Build one functional group first. Early resources are easier to manage when they support a usable core instead of every new catch. Browse the Aniilog and test combinations in the team planner.
- Record your login method. Before September 23, note whether the game used email, a publisher account or only the console network sign-in. That detail matters more than the display name when the mobile login screen appears.
- Keep one eye on official account-linking instructions. If the mobile client offers both “sign in” and “create account,” stop and verify the path before making a second character.
Will console progress carry over to mobile?
Pawprint has previously described seamless progress synchronization across PC, Xbox and mobile as its goal. That is encouraging, but it is not yet a complete launch-day account guide. The older statement does not cover every detail of the now-confirmed PS5 version, and the August launch announcement does not explain linking, server selection or what happens if two platform profiles create separate characters.
The safe expectation is that Aniimo is being built for cross-device progression. The safe action is to wait for the final linking steps before assuming any console save will appear automatically on a phone.
Prepare the phone before September 23
The extra week is also time to make sure the mobile device is ready. Pawprint’s current test requirements call for 25 GB of available storage on both iOS and Android, with an iPhone 12 Pro as the iOS minimum and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 or Dimensity 9000-class chipset as the Android floor.
Those remain test requirements rather than locked final specifications, so check the full Aniimo system requirements again before downloading. Leave additional free space for installation and updates, update the operating system, and avoid assuming that a recent Android version guarantees a supported chipset.
What remains unknown
| Question | Current answer |
|---|---|
| Why is mobile one week later? | Pawprint has not said |
| Is mobile optimization involved? | Plausible from the beta warning, not confirmed as the reason |
| Is September 16 paid early access? | No, the base game is free to play |
| Will every console account sync automatically? | Cross-device sync is the stated goal; final linking steps are still needed |
| Will mobile players receive catch-up rewards? | Not announced |
For now, treat September 16 and September 23 as two stages of one launch. Console players get a week to establish the account and learn Idyll; mobile players get a later client whose extra development time appears useful, even if Pawprint has not said exactly how that week will be spent.
