Start playing

Your first rotation

  1. 01

Use your breaker or control skill to make the enemy vulnerable.

  2. 02

Activate Ironclad Armament, then use Dragon Slayer Strike during the opening.

  3. 03

Fill the remaining safe time with Shadow Cut; rebuild the opening when control ends.

EP is your skill resource. BREAK is the vulnerable phase after the enemy’s break bar is depleted. An ultimate is the charged special skill. Read the full rotation and entry requirements.

At a glance

Stat priorities

Start with the first priority and work down. These are practical build goals, not simulated stat weights.

  1. 1. ATK

Pawney’s core attacks deal physical damage.

  2. 2. Damage and critical rate

Concentrate damage into the controlled or broken target window.

  3. 3. EP recovery

Keep enough EP for the attacks that fit inside the control window.

Party blueprints

Three ways to open Pursuit

Use Rookey for stable BREAK, Fragrancier for Dark amplification, or the Snowfield shell for repeatable control and Ice coverage. Core slots define this blueprint. Replace a flex member only if its replacement still covers the job described on the card.

Combat loadouts

Control first, Armament second

Pawney’s payoff depends on landing the Ultimate recast while BREAK and both listed bonuses overlap. Each loadout labels its equipped skills. An optional swap, where shown, replaces slot 2.

Held items

BREAK baseline, two damage routes

Ferocious Fang anchors the control payoff, Gargantuan Claw and Destiny's Dice bias direct burst, and the Broken-target loadout supplies BREAK while Armament drives repetition.

Quick rotation5 steps · follow in order

Stack two 30% conditions

Create control or BREAK, arm Ironclad, then spend the second strike.

  1. Step 1: Apply control or BREAK

Use Hexxin, Rookey or Pawney’s third Weakening hit before the damage window.

  2. Step 2: Confirm Pursuit is active

The target must be controlled or broken for Pawney’s trait to add 30% damage.

  3. Step 3: Cast Ironclad Armament

Start its 15-second EP recovery and separate 30% bonus against broken targets.

  4. Step 4: Use Dragon Slayer Strike

Recast the Ultimate while both bonuses and BREAK still overlap.

  5. Step 5: Fill with Shadow Cut

Use the high-Might spin while the target remains pinned in the burst window.

Execution notes

Make the build hold together

Use these encounter rules to preserve the rotation instead of forcing the same sequence into every target.

Bosses

Rookey’s BREAK damage-taken debuff gives Pawney the most dependable overlap window.

Normal enemies

Hexxin grouping and Pawney’s own third-hit stun can activate Pursuit before full BREAK.
