What Legendary Journey is

The event opens as three stacked stages inside one tab. Trail of Butterfly Shadows is live from launch and asks you to gather Irisalis Petals across Breezy Plains. Iris Companion opens at Student I on 25 September at 10:00 UTC+8 and turns those Petals into the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis, your entry ticket to Rift Exploration: Irisalis. There you defeat Irisalis: Rampage, choose Soothe and hold Become allies! to twine with her.

Crafting the Irisalis pod opens Blessing Gifts straight away. It sells the seasonal Legendary Aniipod: Windchase Departure, which guarantees capture, Perfect Innate Potential and Sparkling Form, plus two catch perks: an exclusive Sparkling effect and an exclusive Aniimo display background.

Petals are the whole economy. They carry a weekly acquisition limit that clears every Monday at 04:00, and anything you do not spend stays in your bag permanently, so there is no reason to rush a craft.

The Legendary Journey Shop’s Redeem tab opens with Iris Companion. It sells the Breezy Mission Letter for 428 Glimmer, 15 a week, each worth 5 Petals plus random Legendary Chests. Once you have crafted the Irisalis pod it also sells the Floral Rainbow Feather, Irisalis’s Bonded Held Item, for 30 Petals and Glimmering Driftshadow for 2 Petals.

How to take part

1. Collect Irisalis Petals in Breezy PlainsExploration activities across Breezy Plains pay Petals, and clearing the story chapters Ceremony Preparations, The Ceremony That Never Began, Colorful Fragrance and The Land of Dancing Illusions pays them too.
2. Unlock the weekly sourcesClear the main story chapter Rainbow of the Ground to open Memory: The Faded Rainbow, a solo rematch with Irelia. Defeat her, then spend 50 Primegy per chest, up to 2 chests a week with the Monday 04:00 reset. Each chest pays 3 Irisalis Petals.
3. Craft the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis at 99 PetalsThe pod is your entry ticket to Rift Exploration: Irisalis, and you do not throw it. Defeat Irisalis: Rampage, approach her, choose Soothe and hold Become allies! The fight recommends level 20 and Fire, Wind or Dark partners. A full team wipe no longer throws you out of the rift, and once you have twined with Irisalis you can no longer enter it.
4. Craft up to 10 Legendary Aniipod: Windchase Departure at 49 Petals eachBlessing Gifts opens the moment you craft the Irisalis pod. Each seasonal pod catches with Perfect Innate Potential and Sparkling Form, adds an exclusive Sparkling catch effect and an exclusive Aniimo display background, and can also be used on an egg in the Hatchinator. The official announcement calls it Windchaser’s Departure.
5. Buy Breezy Mission Letters with GlimmerThe Legendary Journey Shop sells 15 a week at 428 Glimmer each. Buying all 15 costs 6,420 Glimmer and yields 75 Petals. Every letter gives an Irisalis Flower that opens into 5 Petals, plus random Legendary Chests.

The best line of play

• Plan around up to 85 weekly Petals: 75 from Mission Letters, 6 from Memory: The Faded Rainbow and 4 from the Stamp Shop. The 75 shop Petals require buying all 15 letters; they are not a free weekly grant. The full list costs 619: 99 for the Irisalis pod, 490 for ten Windchase Departure pods and 30 for the Floral Rainbow Feather.
• Take Fire, Wind or Dark Aniimo into the rift at level 20 or above. The recommendation is in the event panel and it is an accurate read of her kit.
• Choose your seasonal capture target before spending the remaining Petals. The seasonal Aniipod supplies Perfect Innate Potential and Sparkling Form as part of its guaranteed capture, and it works on a Hatchinator egg as well as a wild catch.
• Run Memory: The Faded Rainbow twice every week once Rainbow of the Ground is done. The 6 Petals it pays are the only weekly source that costs Primegy rather than Glimmer or Windborn Stamps.
