Location and requirements

Open the exact Rushing Rapids atlas pin in Echoback Landing. The marker sits at 604, 323 on the AniimoVerse atlas. The Sanctum takes one challenger and holds three optional chests. The opening room hands you trial Popota, so you need no Water Aniimo of your own.

Follow the prompts your client shows: The PC bindings below are the defaults. If yours differ, press G View Help at the entrance and read the labels on screen before you start the course.

Quick route

  1. Awaken and Twine with trial Popota

Cross the opening water, use F Awaken on the purple statue and Twine with the supplied Popota.

  2. Check Jump, Dash/Haste and stamina

Use G View Help if the prompt is available, then practise Space Jump and Shift Dash/Haste before the gate. The magenta arrow-patterned tiles give Popota a speed boost, so test one on the practice water.

  3. Start the challenge after the overview

At the closed gate, use F Start Challenge. The overview warns that rising water will submerge the Legendary Chest in 120 seconds. The course begins after the countdown, so keep the warning in mind and race.

  4. Collect the opening and middle ring lines

Pass through every yellow ring, ride the magenta speed-boost tiles, Jump the dry lips and gaps, and preserve enough Dash/Haste stamina for the next landing.

  5. Stay centered through the final rails and finish

Keep Popota in the blue center channel between the solid red side rails, collect the final rings and cross the checkered finish. As soon as the result appears, head straight to the Legendary Chest.

  6. Open the gold Legendary Chest for 1/3

    Finish this before the pass
From the finish pool, go straight up the short central ramp, open the gold Legendary Chest beneath the blue sconce and confirm 1/3 before collecting the other two chests.
  7. Open the purple chest for 2/3

    Finish this before the pass
Turn right from chest 1 onto the adjacent sloped upper ledge, follow it to the purple chest and confirm 2/3.
  8. Open the blue chest for 3/3

    Finish this before the pass
Drop to the main floor, open the blue chest beside the foot of the broad central staircase and confirm 3/3.
  9. The run closes behind you here

    Untwine and Touch the Terminus

Climb the central stairs, Untwine if needed and use F Touch on the square Sanctum Terminus. The interaction restores the Vein.

The magenta arrow-patterned tiles provide a speed boost: Ride straight across them. They give Popota a speed wake, so line up the next jump or ring line before you hit one. Solid red side rails border the final lane: stay in the blue center channel and let the rails do the steering for you.
  • Yellow rings

The course objective: collect all of them.

Pass through every visible ring before following the next one.

  • Magenta arrow-patterned tiles

    Speed-boost tiles.

Ride across them and aim before the burst commits the line.

  • Dry stone lips and gaps

    Jump checks between water sections.

Use Space; Dash/Haste makes Popota jump farther.

  • Solid red side rails

The boundary of the final lane.

Stay in the blue center channel between them.

  • Checkered flags and blue strip

    The finish line.

Cross it and wait for the result before starting chest cleanup.

Timed course, segment by segment

  1. 1Practice, overview and countdown

Use the pre-gate water and speed-boost tiles to test Jump and Dash/Haste. At F Start Challenge, read the 120-second Legendary Chest warning, then face straight ahead for the countdown.

  2. 200:00–00:21 · Pillared opening

Ride the first magenta speed-boost tiles and collect the yellow ring line between the stone pillars. The rank display begins at A and shows Ascension Successful! as it changes to S around 00:20.

  3. 300:21–00:55 · Raised ledges and ring turns

Jump onto the dry stone lips, use the next speed-boost tiles and follow the rings around each turn. Aim the camera before each tile so the burst carries Popota toward the landing rather than the wall.

  4. 400:56–01:32 · Wall weave

Alternate water turns, speed-boost tiles, raised lips and ring pairs. Keep the next ring in view before each blind corner, and use Dash/Haste only while enough stamina remains for the following jump.

  5. 501:33–01:45 · Red-railed finish

Stay in the blue center channel between the solid red side rails, take the final ring line and cross the blue checkered strip. A clean run posts S at 01:45.

Rank and finish time

The rank badge and elapsed time stay visible during the run; they are separate from the 3-chest counter.
S rank is not a clear requirement: The rank display changes from A to S around 00:20 and a clean run finishes S at 01:45. Clearing Rushing Rapids only asks you to collect every ring and cross the finish. Treat 01:45 as a pace reference, not a target you have to beat.

Three-chest cleanup after the course

Open the Legendary Chest immediately after the result: The overview says rising water will submerge the Legendary Chest in 120 seconds. Finish the course promptly, then go straight to the gold chest. Don’t detour to the purple or blue chest first.
Collect 3/3 before the Terminus: Take all three chests after the result: gold Legendary, then purple, then blue. Only the Legendary Chest carries the water warning, so use the positions below and the 0/3 to 3/3 counter as your checks.
  1. 1 · Gold / Legendary

    Landmark and movement
From the finish pool, go straight up the short central ramp to the chest beneath the blue sconce.

Open immediately after the result; confirm 1/3.

    Landmark and movement
From chest 1, turn right onto the adjacent sloped upper ledge and follow it to the purple chest.
    Counter check
Open from 1/3 and confirm 2/3.
  3. 3 · Blue

    Landmark and movement
Drop to the main floor and approach the blue chest beside the foot of the broad central staircase.

Open from 2/3 and confirm 3/3.

Missed rings, falls and resets

  1. If a yellow ring is still behind you, turn back for it. The objective asks for all of them.
  2. After a fall or a bad landing, steady Popota on a flat water section and face the next ring before you Dash again. Dash/Haste burns stamina.
  3. Treat F6 Reset Gameplay as a restart of the attempt, not a checkpoint. Use it when a run is already lost, not to fix one ring.
  4. If a prompt on your screen differs from the labels here, press G View Help and follow the client.
08

Touch the Terminus and verify completion

After reaching 3/3, Untwine as needed at the top of the central stairs and press F Touch on the square Sanctum Terminus, also called the Tesseract. Interacting with that device restores the Vein and completes the Sanctum. Open all three chests before you touch it.

The Sanctum first-clear reward is Lumin Amber, a Special material rather than a currency. Read the completion panel for the exact Rushing Rapids payout.

Where to go next: Return to all Sanctum locations and walkthroughs, reopen the Sanctum atlas layer, or compare state-first advice in the Puzzle Tutorials hub. For another solo movement room with three optional chests, continue to the Windborne walkthrough.

Frequently asked

Where is Rushing Rapids, and how many players and chests does it have?

Rushing Rapids is a one-challenger Sanctum in Echoback Landing with three optional chests. Use the exact Rushing Rapids atlas pin; the marker sits at 604, 323 on the AniimoVerse atlas.

Which controls does trial Popota use in Rushing Rapids?

The PC route uses Space for Popota Jump and Shift for Dash/Haste. Dash makes Popota swim faster and jump farther, but uses stamina. Use the live View Help prompt if your bindings differ.

Are the magenta arrow-patterned tiles hazards?

No. Crossing them costs no health and gives Popota a speed boost, which is why this guide calls them speed-boost tiles. Use them to carry speed into the next ring line and Jump the dry lips or gaps.

Do I need S rank or beat 120 seconds to clear Rushing Rapids?

No. Collect every ring and cross the finish and the Sanctum clears; a clean run happens to post S at 01:45. The separate 120-second warning is about rising water submerging the Legendary Chest, so finish promptly and open the gold chest first.
