Aniimo accounts, servers and crossplay explained

Aniimo is built around one game account that can be used across PC, console and mobile. Cross-platform multiplayer is part of the launch plan, and Pawprint has said progress synchronization across devices is the goal. The part that still needs a launch-day check is the linking flow: use the same Aniimo login, platform account and server before creating another character, because crossplay, cross-progression and store entitlements solve three different problems.

The short answer before you choose a platform

  • Crossplay

    Players on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, iOS and Android are intended to share multiplayer activities.

    Friends still need characters in the same service region before they can find and invite one another.

  • Cross-progression

    Pawprint has described synchronized progress across PC, Xbox and mobile as its goal, and non-Steam beta clients demonstrated one account on PC and mobile.

    The final PlayStation, Steam, Epic and mobile linking screens have not been documented in a complete launch guide.

  • Account linking

    A platform profile authorizes its storefront, while the Aniimo game account identifies the character and progress you mean to keep.

    Signing into the wrong game account or creating a new character first can leave two separate profiles to untangle.

  • Server region

    America, Europe and APAC are separate service regions.

    The same account can have characters on multiple servers, but no confirmed transfer moves an existing character between them.

  • Store entitlement

    A pre-order or platform bonus begins on the storefront account that bought or earned it.

    Use that storefront build first, then sign into the intended Aniimo account and region before claiming.

What each account feature does at launch
Crossplay is not cross-progression: Crossplay lets two platforms enter the same activity. Cross-progression lets one person continue the same character on another device. A game can support one before every account-linking path for the other is ready, so confirm the character name, server and account identifier whenever you add a platform.

Who can play together through crossplay

The launch lineup covers the official PC client and PC storefront versions, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox cloud gaming, iOS and Android. Steam, Epic and Xbox storefronts label Aniimo for cross-platform multiplayer, and Pawprint positions the game as a shared PC, console and mobile service. Platform is therefore not the main party boundary. Server region is.

Which platforms can play together at launch
Different regions do not play together: Do not plan around it. Create or use characters on the same service region before trying friend search, invitations or matchmaking together.

Once the accounts can see each other, the multiplayer and co-op guide explains host-owned story progress, open-world catches, party slots and the three duo Sanctums. Those session rules are separate from platform crossplay.

How cross-progression and account linking should work

Treat the Aniimo login as the center of the account and each Steam, Epic, Microsoft, PlayStation, Apple or Google profile as a connected channel. Pawprint has publicly described seamless progress synchronization across PC, Xbox and mobile as the target. Its launch rewards also use the same-account model: the pre-launch web event sends its reward when the event email matches the email used to create the first launch character.

  1. 1Choose the account you will keep

    Use the email or login method tied to pre-registration, the pre-launch web event and any eligible beta keepsake. Write down the exact sign-in method, not only the display name.

  2. 2Create the first character once

    Pick the server where your regular party will play and finish character creation on that account. Record the character name, account ID and server shown in-game.

  3. 3Link from the intended platform profile

    Sign into the correct Steam, Epic, Microsoft, PlayStation, Apple or Google profile, then choose the existing-account path. Do not choose Create Account merely because the second device presents it first.

  4. 4Verify before playing

    The same character, server, roster and currency balances should appear. If the client opens character creation instead, stop before making a second profile and use in-game Support.

  5. 5Test with a low-risk action

    Claim ordinary mail or change one harmless setting, close the client, and confirm the result appears on the other device before buying currency or claiming a one-time entitlement.

The Steam beta limitation was test-specific: Steam beta keys could not share test data with the other beta clients. The notice repeatedly limited that rule to the Steam test, and every beta server was wiped after July 25. It is useful history, not proof that Steam launch progress will remain isolated. Final Steam linking still deserves a check before a purchase or one-time reward claim.

Cross-progression carries the account state, not a promise that every platform storefront treats paid currency, subscriptions or exclusive cosmetics identically. Check the item description and linking screen before assuming a purchase made through one store can be bought, refunded or re-claimed through another.

How to claim an Xbox pre-order on PC

You do not need an Xbox console for the Microsoft version. Aniimo is listed for both PC and Xbox Series X|S and carries the Xbox Play Anywhere badge. Microsoft says Play Anywhere content includes game add-ons, season passes, consumables and in-game unlocks across Xbox console and the Xbox PC app.

  1. 1Buy with the Microsoft account you will use

    Complete the digital pre-order in the Microsoft Store or Xbox app on Windows and keep the receipt. Confirm Aniimo and the correct pack appear in that account order history.

  2. 2Install the Xbox PC version

    Open the Xbox app on Windows and install Aniimo from that Microsoft account library. The Steam, Epic and standalone PC clients do not establish the Microsoft Store entitlement.

  3. 3Use your established Aniimo login

    Sign into the game account and server that should keep the reward. If the client offers a new character instead of the expected one, stop before claiming anything.

  4. 4Claim and verify in-game

    Open the pack or mail only after the correct character is visible. Photograph the reward screen and keep the order number until the item also appears wherever you plan to play next.

Play Anywhere answers the PC entitlement question: It directly covers Microsoft PC and Xbox console. Carrying the claimed cosmetic from the Xbox PC build into Steam, Epic, PlayStation or mobile also depends on Aniimo cross-progression and the item's platform rules, so verify that second step in the live account before treating it as guaranteed.

Which server region should you pick

  • You live in North, Central or South America, or your established group plays there.

    Aniimo-America. Use your group over geography if regular co-op matters more than the lowest possible latency.

  • You live in Europe, Africa or a nearby area and do not already have a group elsewhere.

    Aniimo-Europe. Choose the closest stable region for responsive combat and matchmaking.

  • You live in Asia-Pacific or your established group plays there.

    Aniimo-APAC. Some notices shorten this region to AP, so match the server by label rather than by wording.

The three Aniimo service regions

If you mostly play solo, choose the nearest region. If you have a fixed friend group, agree on one region before anyone creates a main character. A slightly higher ping is usually less disruptive than splitting a long-term group across separate character databases.

Region choice does not change the open-world route itself. The Aniimo beginner guide and controls and settings guide remain useful on every server, while event schedules and maintenance windows may be displayed in different time zones.

Can you change region later

The account model allows characters on more than one server. Pawprint's beta keepsake FAQ even explained what happens when one account has characters on multiple live servers. That does not mean the same character moves between those servers.

Pre-registration rewards, active gift codes and console packs are different systems. The Aniimo codes and rewards page tracks what is free, what is platform-specific and what has an expiry window.

Secure the account before launch

  1. 1Protect the email first

    Use a unique email password and enable two-step verification with the email provider. Email verification codes can be enough to enter a game account, so the mailbox is the most important recovery key.

  2. 2Protect every connected platform

    Turn on two-factor authentication for Steam, Epic, Microsoft, PlayStation, Apple and Google accounts you may connect. Review signed-in devices and remove sessions you do not recognize.

  3. 3Save the account map

    Record the Aniimo email or login method, account ID, character name, server, connected platform usernames and purchase receipts in a private password manager.

  4. 4Use official entry points

    Install only from Aniimo's official site or the platform stores. Never buy beta access, account links, characters or pre-order claims from another player.

  5. 5Keep codes private

    Support, moderators and other players do not need an email verification code, password, recovery code or full receipt number. Share only the minimum account ID requested inside official Support.

Five-minute launch check: Confirm the email, platform profile and server before character creation. After creation, capture the account ID and server. After linking, confirm the old character appears. Only then claim mail, open packs or spend money.

Does Aniimo support crossplay between PC, console and mobile?

Yes. Aniimo is positioned for cross-platform multiplayer across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS and Android. Friends should create characters in the same server region before trying to play together.

Does Aniimo have cross-progression?

Pawprint has said seamless progress synchronization across PC, Xbox and mobile is the goal, and shared accounts worked between non-Steam beta clients. The complete launch linking flow for every storefront is not published yet, so verify the existing character before creating or claiming anything on a second platform.

Can I claim an Xbox Aniimo pre-order pack on PC?

Yes, through the Xbox app on Windows. Aniimo is an Xbox Play Anywhere title listed for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Use the Microsoft account that bought the pack, install the Xbox PC version, then claim it on the intended Aniimo account and server.

Can I move my Aniimo character to another server region?

No character-transfer policy is confirmed. One account can hold characters on multiple servers, but choosing another region should be treated as starting separate progress until Pawprint announces a transfer service.
