Ice BREAK · Debuff engine

Geoclaw Ice Breaker

Geoclaw is the sturdiest Aniimo in the game and the cheapest way to put Ice Debuff on a boss. Park the Ice Storm on the target, keep basic attacks flowing, and Frostbite Sunder adds 35% extra BREAK once the stack count passes five.

Start playing

Your first rotation

  1. 01

Walk into range and hold basic attacks. Frostbite Sunder puts Ice Debuff on the target for free, with no EP cost.

  2. 02

Cast Icy Gravel Dance and steer the Ice Storm through the target so the stacks climb past five.

  3. 03

Use Frost Slam to keep the target in the storm, then spend Freezing Claws when the BREAK bar is nearly empty.

EP is your skill resource. BREAK is the vulnerable phase after the enemy’s break bar is depleted. An ultimate is the charged special skill. Read the full rotation and entry requirements.

At a glance

Stat priorities

Start with the first priority and work down. These are practical build goals, not simulated stat weights.

  1. 1. BREAK

Every skill in the kit carries a 150% BREAK rate, so BREAK is the stat that converts 67 Might into a broken bar. It also gates how much the trait is worth.

  2. 2. P.DEF

Geoclaw already has the highest base P.DEF in the Aniilog at 113. Adding to it is what lets the Ice Storm stay planted instead of being interrupted.

  3. 3. EP recovery

Icy Gravel Dance costs 20 EP on a 1 second cooldown. REGEN decides how many storms you get before you fall back to 6 Might basic attacks.

  4. 4. HP

A breaker takes the pressure phase on purpose. HP buys the time Frost Slam and its 5 second ice wall need to reset spacing.

Party blueprints

Three teams that spend the same stacks

Geoclaw does one job in all three: it puts Ice Debuff on the target and breaks the bar. What changes is who cashes the stacks in, and whether the team wants a second breaker or a freeze window. Core slots define this blueprint. Replace a flex member only if its replacement still covers the job described on the card.

Ice Debuff feeds an Ice carry

Frostbite RelayRecommended

Geoclaw builds the stacks that two different effects want. Past five stacks, Glynsera gains 15% crit rate from Biting Wind and Geoclaw gains 35% extra BREAK, so one storm pays twice. Glacy covers healing and adds 15% team damage, Somniwing refills EP.

Flex

Frost Tail Strike spends the stacks Geoclaw built for 85% extra damage on the hit.

GlacyBasic

Flex

Healing Water restores 8% of Glacy’s max HP to the team; Glimmer Shot adds 15% team damage for 20s.

SomniwingBasic

Flex

Ethereal Light Wave gives 24% EP recovery for 20s so the storm keeps its 20 EP cost funded.

Two breakers, one bar

Guarded FractureBREAK stack

Snowfield Helmut swaps Guardbreak Slam for the Ice-typed Guardbreak Smash, so both breakers attack the same resistance. Stellarys adds a second Ice Debuff source through Chill Glide, and Glameep keeps the front line alive without needing a switch.

Ballistic Guard adds 20% damage reduction; Guardbreak Smash lands Ice BREAK hits at 45 Might.

Chill Glide applies 1 stack of Ice Debuff per hit, so the five-stack gate arrives sooner.

Healbubb heals 12% max HP over 6s and Sweetbubb shields for 7% max HP for 10s.

Deep FreezeControl option

Ice Spikes and Frost Strike both freeze for 2.5 seconds, which is the window Malevsera needs to hold basic attack after six skill casts. Gracewing heals from off field, so Malevsera keeps the on-field time its trait pays for.

Forms and typing

One form, one element

Geoclaw has a single form. All 550 base attribute points sit in pure Ice, with 113 P.DEF and 103 BREAK carrying the profile.

Combat loadouts

Keep the storm, choose the second tool

Icy Gravel Dance never leaves the set. The second skill slot decides whether you want the ice wall or the freeze. Each loadout labels its equipped skills. An optional swap, where shown, replaces slot 2.

Held items

Buy BREAK first, then survivability

BREAK is what the trait multiplies, so it leads. Defensive items come next because the plan asks Geoclaw to stand in the attack pattern rather than out of it.

Upgrade shopping list

These totals cover every training step and every advancement through the full Resonance ladder. Geoclaw draws Loam Stone for its stage costs even though the evolution itself asks for Freeze Stone. There is no wild Geoclaw to catch: you raise a Budclaw, which fills Nimbus Field around atlas 982,1639 and the caves beneath it at 1079,1555, then meet all three gates below. The Alpha Geoclaw you need to defeat stands underground at atlas 1141,1525.

Stack, hold, break, switch

The loop is short on purpose. Count to five stacks, break the bar, and give the vulnerable phase to somebody with more than 80 ATK.

  1. Step 1: Open with free stacks

Close to melee range and hold basic attack. Frostbite Sunder applies Ice Debuff on every hit at 6 Might and 150% BREAK rate, which starts the stack count before you spend a single point of EP.

  2. Step 2: Plant the Ice Storm

Cast Icy Gravel Dance and aim it through the target rather than at it. The storm travels forward until it meets a wall or a target and builds Ice Debuff for as long as it holds contact. Its Core Skill upgrade adds 30% buildup efficiency and 30% area, which is the single largest gain available to this build.

  3. Step 3: Hold the target in the storm

Use Frost Slam for 40 Might in a cone and leave the ice wall between the target and its retreat. Use Ice Spikes when the target is about to move: the 2.5 second freeze keeps it inside the storm and the skill can be cast while tunneling.

  4. Step 4: Check the stack count before the burst

Frostbite Sunder only pays above five stacks. Confirm the debuff is on the target, then spend Freezing Claws for 173 Might across a large area with the same 150% BREAK rate.

  5. Step 5: Hand over the opening

Switch the moment the bar breaks. Geoclaw has 80 ATK and is not the Aniimo that should be spending the vulnerable phase; your carry is.

Execution notes

Make the build hold together

Use these encounter rules to preserve the rotation instead of forcing the same sequence into every target.

Ice doubles into Water and Electric

Ice deals 1.6x to Water and Electric targets. Against Grass, Wind, Light and Dark it is a flat 1x, so the BREAK rate rather than the element is what earns the opening there.

Fire and Earth answer back

Fire and Earth both hit Ice for 1.6x. That is where 113 P.DEF stops being a number and starts being the reason the storm survives. Bring the shield or the heal on those fights.

Ice into Ice is the worst trade

Ice deals 0.625x to Fire, Ice and Earth targets. Against an Ice boss the stacks still feed the 35% BREAK bonus, so lead with BREAK rather than with damage.

Tunnel is defence, not escape

Tunnel makes Geoclaw immune to ranged attacks while it drains stamina, but pound skills launch it into the air. Use it to cross an artillery phase, not to ignore a slam.
