Courageous Wit Sanctum co-op walkthrough: all 5 chests

Courageous Wit is a two-player Sanctum in Zephyrus Landbridge. It supplies trial Cozite and Pawney. Use “set / moving / safe” calls and name a target operator plus a crossing player at each handoff. A and B are swappable communication roles, not permanent assignments.

Preparation, recommended roles and shorthand

No owned puzzle Aniimo is required. Cozite holds its skill button to aim and throw a mudball along a parabolic arc, and those mudballs activate Rotating Pillars and Targeting Slabs. Pawney aims its Grappling Hook at a Grappling Hook Anchor Point and vaults on reaching the landing. Review party setup and Twine and Untwine controls before entering.

Swappable callout roles; these are communication aids, not form assignments

SetB struck the current target and the linked hazard or component visibly changed. The assigned crossing player checks the lane, then moves; that player may be B.
MovingThe assigned player is inside the active crossing.Nobody strikes a different target until the crossing player reports safe.
SafeThe crossing player reached the next plain-stone landing outside the visible hazard sweep. Both players reassess the next target, route and chest branch.
Aim-hold is not a held mechanism: Cozite holds the skill input only while aiming its mudball. Targets take a discrete hit or toggle: there is no continuous switch input, no required nearby stance and no state that cancels when the operator walks away. The same Cozite player can strike a target and then cross it, so do not force a permanent Pawney-runner and Cozite-operator split.

Quick solution in route order

  1. 1Claim Cozite and Pawney and use the opening split

Use the A/B labels as a communication aid. Sweep both early blue-chest branches before the horizontal fire banks; you can take them in either order.

  2. 2Toggle the first purple targets

B hits the target for the current gate or hazard. The assigned crossing player (which can be B) moves after the linked state visibly changes, reaches the next plain landing and calls safe.

  3. 3Relay through the horizontal fire banks

Repeat set / moving / safe for each bank. Nobody hits a different target while the assigned crossing player is between fire rows.

  4. 4Time the autonomous spike sweepers

These long rotating spike arms move without a partner trigger. Wait on plain stone, let the arm pass and cross one segment at a time.

  5. 5Use overhead targets through the mixed hazards

B activates the target associated with the visible flame or component state; the assigned crossing player follows the open line and uses Pawney only where an Anchor Point appears.

  6. 6Open the visible gold chest before phase 2

Take the gold chest against the wall and confirm the counter changes from 2/5 to 3/5 before regrouping.

  7. 7Clear the post-chest target, pad and fire-bank relay

Hit the next Targeting Slab to open its small gate, regroup through the paired floor-pad and spike segment, then repeat set / moving / safe through the final horizontal fire bank. This entire relay comes before the two blue-cube pedestals.

  8. 8Use both cubes at the paired phase gate

Both players interact at the paired blue-cube pedestals. The gate opens once both are in position; there is no narrow same-frame timing window.

  9. 9Sweep the purple-component section to 5/5

Two teammate-share updates carry the counter from 3/5 to 4/5 and then to 5/5. Search the accessible side landings in this section before opening the final gate.

  10. 10Open the final paired gate and trigger restoration

Use the final paired cube interactions, reach the completion space together and interact with the Sanctum Terminus, the square core the game calls the Tesseract. That interaction leads to Success and the Vein-restoration scene.

Trap rooms and handoffs

Each room below is one target-and-crossing loop. Read the visible target, hazard state, landing and counter on your own screen before every call.

Room 1: opening split and two early blue chests

  1. 1Check both opening branches

One blue chest is on the Pawney-accessible side alcove or shelf; the other is on the raised branch near the early target route. Take them in either order.

  2. 2Watch the counter reach 2/5

The two opening pickups carry the tracker from 0/5 to 2/5, whichever branch you sweep first.

  3. 3Leave only after both branches are checked

Confirm your own team display reaches 2/5 before committing to the long hazard sequence. If it does not, backtrack within the opening split while both branches are still accessible.

Room 2: target toggles and horizontal fire banks

  1. 1B strikes the current target

Aim Cozite’s mudball at the purple target associated with the current bank and wait for the flame pattern or route state to visibly change before saying set.

  2. 2The assigned player crosses the visible open line

The target operator may take this crossing after the hit. Use Pawney only where the room exposes an Anchor Point, then stop on the next plain-stone landing outside the flame row.

  3. 3B waits for safe before retargeting

Do not strike another target during the crossing. The first target holds its own state; the rule protects the player in the lane, not the toggle.

A discrete mudball strike changes the linked state. Cross after the change; there is no switch to hold.

Room 3: autonomous spike sweepers

The long spike arms sweep on their own. Watch one complete pass, move behind it and stop on the next plain-stone island. Dark sockets and the arm’s arc are hazards; a surface is not safe merely because it is pale or patterned.

Timing check: let the autonomous arm pass, follow behind it and reassess from the next plain-stone island.

Room 4: overhead targets, mixed hazards and the gold chest

  1. 1Read one target and one lane at a time

B hits the target linked to the immediate fire or moving-component state. A checks the resulting open path; one purple target does not control the whole room.

  2. 2Use the visible landings

Cross the flame and spike segments separately. Regroup on plain stone beyond the active sweep before either player changes another target state.

  3. 3Take the gold chest against the wall

Before the paired phase gate, open the directly visible gold chest. The tracker changes from 2/5 to 3/5 here.

The third landmark is directly visible: the gold wall chest takes the counter from 2/5 to 3/5.

Room 5: post-chest relay, paired phase gate and purple components

  1. 1Clear the post-chest Targeting Slab and pad relay

After the gold chest, use another Targeting Slab to open the small door below, then bring both players through a floor-pad and spike relay. Do not skip straight from chest 3 to the blue-cube pedestals.

  2. 2Cross the final horizontal fire bank

After the pad-and-spike relay, repeat target/operator-crossing calls through the final horizontal fire bank, then regroup at the paired blue cubes.

  3. 3Regroup at the paired blue cubes

Both players use the two visible pedestals. The door opens on the paired state; calling “ready, three, two, one” helps, but an exact same-frame input is not required.

  4. 4Untwine and retwine as the room prompts

The room hands control back to the human Pathfinders, then returns you to the trial forms for the large purple-component section. Follow the live prompt rather than forcing the opening role split through every interaction.

  5. 5Sweep the side landings before the final gate

While one player works beside the large purple components, the other collects the last two chests: the counter moves 3/5 to 4/5, then 4/5 to 5/5. Search every accessible side landing in this section before the final gate.

Room 6: final paired gate, Tesseract and restoration

  1. 1Confirm the chest objective is complete

The chest line disappears once the counter reaches 5/5. Do this check before the final paired gate, because you cannot come back for a chest after the clear.

  2. 2Use the final paired cube interactions

Each player takes one side. The gate opens on the paired state; the two inputs do not have to land on the same frame.

  3. 3Reach the central completion object together

Both players untwine and enter the completion space. A Touch interaction on the Sanctum Terminus, the square core called the Tesseract, leads into Success and the Vein-restoration cutscene.

Five chest landmarks

The entrance and map data list five chest slots. Three sit directly on the route; the last two are on the side landings around the purple-component section, so split up there instead of running the mechanism together.

5Second side landing before the final paired gateBefore you open the final gate; the chest line disappears at 5/5.
Split up for the last two pickups: One player can sweep the side landings around the purple components while the other works the mechanism. A shared-treasure notification and the counter update confirm each pickup, and both players can check their own inventory after the clear.

Recovery, completion and rewards

A recovery restores health and leaves your chest count intact; the partner marker stays where it was.
Do not treat deliberate failure as a route tool: A failure displays Your Aniimo have all recovered and restores the affected player’s health, but it will not drop you back on a useful side of every gate. Re-establish the last target state first. Leaving and re-entering is a last resort, and you check every mechanism and the chest counter again on the way back.
Finish 5/5 before the restoration sequence: Open all five chests before you trigger the final Sanctum Terminus. Do not count on coming back for one after the clear. If your counter is below 5/5, backtrack while the route is still open.

First-time Sanctum clears and Sanctum challenges award Lumin Amber.

Frequently asked

Where is the Courageous Wit Sanctum?

It is in Zephyrus Landbridge. The AniimoVerse atlas marker is at 3208, 441. Open the exact Courageous Wit atlas pin.

How many players and chest slots does Courageous Wit have?

The entrance requires two challengers and lists five chest slots. Three chests sit directly on the route; the last two are on the side landings around the purple-component section.

Does the Cozite player have to hold a Courageous Wit switch?

No. The player holds Cozite’s skill input only to aim a mudball. Purple targets take a discrete hit or toggle, and the linked state does not cancel when the operator moves away.

Can I collect a missed Courageous Wit chest after clearing the Sanctum?

No. Reach 5/5 before you use the final Sanctum Terminus or Tesseract. If the route becomes irrecoverable before then, leaving and re-entering is the last resort, and you check every mechanism and the chest counter again on the way back.
