Piopiota Water Support Build

Pair Piopiota with an opposite-sex Water attacker, prepare puddles with Surf, and use the ultimate before the carry attacks. Spend terrain on Surge when the team needs healing; leave it for the breaker and carry when they are healthy.

Start playing

Your first rotation

  1. 01

Check that the Water carry is the opposite sex to Piopiota, and save 40 EP for Surf plus Surge.

  2. 02

Create puddles with Surf. Heal now if needed; otherwise leave the terrain for the breaker and carry.

  3. 03

Use a charged Wrath of the Sea just before the Water damage window, then hand over.

EP is your skill resource. BREAK is the vulnerable phase after the enemy’s break bar is depleted. An ultimate is the charged special skill. Read the full rotation and entry requirements.

At a glance

Stat priorities

Start with the first priority and work down. These are practical build goals, not simulated stat weights.

  1. 1. ATK for Water buffs

Radiant Charm scales from 16% to 27% and Wrath of the Sea from 20% to 35% with Piopiota’s ATK. These are separate buff ranges, not a guaranteed combined damage multiplier.

  2. 2. REGEN for repeat entries

Surf plus Surge costs 40 EP. Secure that budget before adding damage casts; a short Surge cooldown does not make repeated healing free.

  3. 3. HP for the healing role

Surge uses Piopiota’s maximum HP. Move HP ahead of extra ATK when Piopiota is the team’s only healer and the recovery is too small.

  4. 4. P.DEF and M.DEF

Survive the entry and the Surf approach. Choose the defense the encounter tests rather than extending the support turn for incidental damage.

Party blueprints

Choose who gets the next puddle

Each team has a Water carry and a distinct recovery plan. Match sex manually for Radiant Charm, and use the recommended pairings only where every listed member has its full kit. Core slots define this blueprint. Replace a flex member only if its replacement still covers the job described on the card.

Share puddles between BREAK and damage

Water Terrain RelayRecommended

Choose Piopiota of the opposite sex to Panpanta for Appeal, and match Sherro’s sex to Panpanta for Radiant Charm. Glacy heals without consuming the puddles reserved for their attacks. These are full-kit party roles; the Planner link does not set sex.

Adds a puddle with Hydro Roll and uses nearby terrain for Torrent Slam after the BREAK opening.

PanpantaBasic

Flex

Uses an opposite-sex Piopiota for Appeal and absorbs water to strengthen its BREAK turn.

GlacyBasic

Flex

Covers team healing without spending puddles; this pair needs no Prismana skill unlock.

Prepare one safe Water barrage

Funded JackpotEP support

Choose Gachapus of the opposite sex to Piopiota. Helmut prepares BREAK and Somniwing supplies recovery before Gachapus spends its channel budget. Piopiota handles healing here; replace Somniwing with Glacy if Surge cannot keep up with incoming damage.

HelmutBasic

Flex

Takes the pressure phase and opens the BREAK bar before the carry commits.

SomniwingBasic

Flex

Aim the recovery wave through allies before setup; sleep ends when the target takes damage.

Outsource healing before choosing Dark Tide

Nighttime Cleanse CoverDefensive alternative

Gracewing supplies healing and cleanse while Nighttime Piopiota can replace Surge with Dark Tide for its own BREAK damage reduction. Match Sherro’s sex opposite Piopiota. Dark Tide does not heal this team or grant it a general damage-reduction buff.

HelmutBasic

Flex

Prepares the opening so Piopiota can keep its support entry short.

GracewingBasic

Flex

Provides the healing and deliberate cleanse that a Surf plus Dark Tide loadout does not supply.

Forms and typing

Water support in both forms

Nighttime changes typing and unlocks Dark Tide. The ordinary Surf, Surge and Water ultimate rotation starts with Basic Piopiota.

Combat loadouts

Keep the heal or replace it deliberately

Equip the two numbered skill slots. The last card is an alternative for slot 2; replacing Surge also removes that loadout’s active heal. Each loadout labels its equipped skills. An optional swap, where shown, replaces slot 2.

Nighttime-unlocked self-protection

Combat set

Obtain Nighttime Piopiota to unlock Dark Tide. Equip it beside Surf only when healing is covered: Dark Tide grants the caster 15% BREAK damage reduction for 20 seconds, with extra stacks from absorbed puddles.

  3. SurfSkill slot 1
  4. Dark TideSkill slot 2
  5. SurgeSlot 2 swap

Slot 2 choice: Swap Dark Tide back to Surge when recovery matters more. Obtaining Nighttime unlocks the skill; Surf’s boost does not.

Held items

Fund the rotation, then choose ATK or HP

Use ATK for stronger Water buffs, HP for more Surge healing and REGEN when the next cast is late. Surf’s boost comes after the base support loop works.

Prepare, decide, buff, hand over

Spend support time only on the terrain, recovery and Water window the next teammate can use.

  1. Step 1: Match the recipient before spending

Check the actual carry’s sex against Piopiota. Radiant Charm requires opposite-sex teammates; Wrath of the Sea buffs party Water damage without that condition. A Thunderstorm Sherro still needs Water attacks to use these buffs.

  2. Step 2: Prepare the puddles near the handoff

Surf makes 4 puddles as Piopiota moves toward the target. End near the next useful attack position. Use Water Cannon instead when its single puddle and 10 EP cost cover the plan; do not add both setup casts automatically.

  3. Step 3: Choose healing or terrain before absorbing

Surge heals the entire team for 4% of Piopiota’s maximum HP even without puddles. Water within 10m enhances that heal, absorbing up to 4 puddles. Heal when necessary, then recreate terrain before asking Panpanta or Sherro to use it.

  4. Step 4: Start the Water window when damage is ready

Wrath of the Sea grants party members 20% to 35% Water Elemental Boost for 30 seconds, scaling with Piopiota’s ATK. Cast the charged ultimate near the end of setup so the Water carry spends the duration attacking.

  5. Step 5: Hand over and recover the next budget

Switch once the needed terrain, heal and buff are ready. Skip Surge at full health to preserve puddles. Save the next 20 EP heal before using spare attacks, and return when the party needs support again.

Execution notes

Make the build hold together

Use these encounter rules to preserve the rotation instead of forcing the same sequence into every target.

Buy the useful upgrade first

Fix missing EP or insufficient healing before spending a Prismatic Stone. Surf’s Core Skill boost raises puddles from 4 to 6 at the same 20 EP cost and 15-second cooldown. Surge still absorbs at most 4, so the gain is extra terrain capacity, not a higher absorption cap.

A Core Skill slot provides Surf

A mode that exposes only Piopiota’s Core Skill supplies Surf’s terrain action. Do not budget Surge healing, Dark Tide or Wrath of the Sea unless that mode separately makes those actions available. These party rotations assume full-kit access.

Basic or Nighttime?

Basic Piopiota is Water; Nighttime adds Dark. Both keep Radiant Charm’s Water role. Obtain Nighttime to unlock Dark Tide, then equip it deliberately; extra typing does not turn the Water buffs into Dark damage buffs.

Dark Tide protects the caster

Dark Tide costs 20 EP and starts with 15% BREAK damage reduction for 20 seconds. It can consume up to 4 puddles within 10m for additional stacks. Choose it for Piopiota’s own BREAK protection, with healing handled elsewhere.

Piopiota or a dedicated healer?

Choose Piopiota when Water buffs and terrain solve a real team need. Glacy supplies healing without consuming puddles; Gracewing adds a deliberate cleanse. Keep one of them when the carry must reserve every puddle or needs more recovery than Surge provides.

Keep the evolution gate separate from the build

Basic Popota needs level 39, an opposite-gender Susuta following it and 1 Wave Stone to evolve into Piopiota. Nighttime Popota needs the same level, follower and Stone requirements, plus Energetic and Playful at night. Finish that evolution before replacing its required personality letters.
